From International Network of Independent Recording Artists

We are entering the home stretch. September 25 and 26, 2009 we will be in the Warehouse Studio (Owned by Canadian Rock Star, Bryan Adams) cutting the final track for the CD 4 The Troops, "Independents For Independence". The cover and CD insert is in the final design stage and mass production and distribution are a very short distance away.

We will not only be ready for the Release of the CD for our target date of Remembrance Day in Canada and the Uk and Veteran’s Day in the US but on Novemeber 18, all other countries.

The response and contributions from International Independent Recording Artists has been beyond eben our highest expectations. The music industry has stepped up in such a huge way for this project which is to help families of fallen soldiers and soldiers returning from duty with life altering injuries. It is expected that the CD will surpass 5 million units sold in the first 12 month of release. This means over $15 million dollars will be raised for the respective organizations in Canada, the United States and the UK.

This could be the highest selling compilation CD since the 80’s when various tracks were recorded for the benefit of famine in Africa. This is a full length CD with 17 tracks donated by the respective performers from various genres. From Country and Hip Hop to Rock and Contemporary this Cd will have tracks for every musical taste.

It makes INIRA (International Network of Independent Recording Artists and the CD Producer, James Miller very proud that our industry is so quick to show the troops we not only support them but also that we are willing to donate our time and music to help support them and their families in times of need. We have such a high level of respect and appreciation for the risk each and every member of our armed forces take for our continued safety and freedom.

"I do believe that all too often the general public forget to take the time to show our troops our eternal gratitude to them and the families who support them from the home front. This CD and the tracks on the CD will remind the troops just how valued they and the sacrifices they and their families make for us are." States, James Miller of INIRA.

Several songs from the CD have been placed online for download and review at www.youthandviolence.com/download.html which we hope the troops and others will listen to and reply to us with their opinions of the tracks. The hundreds of hours put into the project by the musicians and support teams, the tens of thousands of dollars put into making this project happen means nothing if the troops are not pleased with the final product and the results of the CD. We are confident that it will be a huge success in all areas.

Everyone is encouraged to call into their local radio stations and request that they play tracks from the CD 4 The Troops, "Independents for Independence". We will be starting our distribution to over 5000 radio stations worldwide on October 10th via UPS. We are hopeful that radio stations will support this project through playing tracks and talking about the project on the air. The more requests the stations receive from their listeners, the more inclined they will be to support the project. Unfortunately there are some stations in all countries who still believe that airtime should only be given to the artists and record companies who throw the most "mystery cash envelopes" at the musical directors.

INIRA will not be involved in any unethical and illegal activities to promote this CD as we do not believe in such practices in our day to day operations and surely would not disrespect our troops by doing such for this project either. So email and call your local stations to encourage them to play tracks and promote the project on it’s own meritt.

The beneficiaries of the project are as follows.

  • Canadian Sales will benefit the Royal Canadian Legion & Red Fridays Foundation
  • United States Sales will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and the USO
  • UK Sales will benefit the Army Benevolent Fund

International Sales outside of these three markets will be divided between the organizations. We anticipate millions will be raised through this project. Requests can also be made for live performances by participating artists and bands in all regions. INIRA will also make artists available for live performances for troops home and abroad upon request and as availability permits.

If you have any further questions about this project please feel free to contact Mr. James Miller via telephone, email or regular postal mail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
