Six Yemeni detainees at Guantanamo Bay to be repatriated

The Washington Post has posted an article this morning, Six Yemeni detainees at Guantanamo Bay to be repatriated , which tells us of a situation which may be a prelude of things to come that may happen very quickly.  We are possibly getting ready to send up to 97 Yemeni detainees in total from the GTMO Detention Center home to Yemen.

Right or wrong, we may very well be getting prepared to do this.

So much for the value of torture in the justice system, eh?  What were we thinking? What did we gain?  How does torturing detainees look to us now?

When Dubya was in the White House all talk of torture at Guantanamo and in the combat zones in western Asia was ridiculed by his administration and its supporters. Now we know how true it was and perhaps still is…there are rumors that our rendition prisons still exist.  Do we still torture there?

This is not free.  The price that we are going to pay for this behavior will be steep.  We have to know this at the highest levels of government. At least I hope we do.
