In today’s Sphere political blog we find a story entitled Medics Accused of Ignoring Dying Pregnant Woman that more or less says it all. Is this the state of government in our country when two city EMT’s can calmly order breakfast when a pregnant woman has a siezure in the same coffeeshop where they are eating? They told the shop staff to call 911. They were busy eating breakfast. She died on the spot.
We have a national government that is waging war against the will of the people. We have state governments all over the nation quickly running out of money and cutting back state services to the citizenry in a massive way. We have municipal governments so divorced from the needs of their citizens that medics are calmly watching people die in coffee shops and police officers are pulling their weapons on snow ball throwers.
And we calmly send working class kids off to war to "defend the American way of life". You have got to be kidding me! Defend this? What’s to defend? We are no longer a nation. We are just tribes.
