Was Glenn Beck Junkie Tased by a Robot?

Two days ago, “Gator” Taylor walked into a Virginia post office, no he didn’t exactly walk, he was in a wheel chair, carrying 4 guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and announced he was going to murder everyone in the place because the President Obama was going to seize his guns and raise his taxes.  The worst part, his pickup truck was being repossessed (or maybe was “possessed”.  I hate it when dark forces take over an F150).  This was the start of an 8 hour “Fox News” diatribe ending in Taylor surrendering to an FBI robot. (see photo below)

This isn’t a simple story and the truth should be available, some twisted version of it, by now.  It isn’t, thus, we resort to our attempt at “mainstream journalism.”  We will invent some truth.

Welcome to America. Taylor told hostages his son was killed in Iraq and that he, Taylor, had spent 20 or 18 years in the Army or Marines, depending on who you ask.  These things have not been verified.  What was quick and easy is that Taylor is a registered sex offender and had done time for wounding his ex wife with a gun.  What is Taylor and those like him, including Nadal Hassan, trying to tell us?

If it weren’t for the conviction for having sex with a 13 year old, Fox News would have “Gator” Taylor a national hero by now.  Nobody was killed, not that this would have mattered to the media.  The Fox News “party line” was ranted at gunpoint for hours, for them a much more efficient way of keeping listeners than simply pandering to ignorance thru their usual methods.

There could be a pickup truck named “Gator.”  Fox could put their logo on it.  It would be made in Red China, of course.  The “silver lining” of profit can be found anywhere, why not here?  It would come with explosives already built inside.

There are things we don’t know.  We don’t know how Taylor lost his leg.  We can guess, but his age, 53, would make Vietnam very unlikely.  We don’t know if Taylor lost a child in Afghanistan.  Thus far, several “Taylors” have died in Afghanistan, none listing this man as a parent but it is too early to discount this claim as it is also too early to discount claims of military service.

Even the convictions, shooting an ex-wife and sex with a middle school student could have been misunderstandings.  Anything is possible.  This could be the most unlucky man on earth.

However, his complaints about taxes, this is a pack of bull.  I would bet a week’s pay, if I had a real job, he is on SSI and hasn’t filed taxes in years.  The pickup story is also unlikely.  Why wouldn’t he sell his guns, worth thousands, and pay off his truck?

The lucky here were the hostages.  There is barely an inch of difference between Hasan and Taylor.  Both are fanatics, both are influenced by liars and thieves, Taylor is a Fox News fan and Hasan, we aren’t so sure, maybe a Muslim terrorist, maybe something more sinister.  Hasan has proven to have too many ties to people in high and low places to be exactly what he seems.

Taylor didn’t have the heart to murder innocent people, no matter how hard so many worked to push him that far.  With taxes down and absolutely no attempts to regulate guns, the rhetoric that nearly drove him to mass murder was done for cheap political gain.  If we get a full transcript, I am sure we will have a portion on socialism and health insurance too.

Do we have a victim, a parent of a dead soldier, a veteran or a lying sex criminal and right wing idiot or somewhere in between.  What we do have is a homegrown terrorist, recruited to murder fellow Americans in the name of patriotism.  This one was unsuccessful, others have not been.  Local news squashes these reports for some reason but they are out there, the mentally unfit, the deluded, the depressed, continually bombarded by demands that they murder doctors at family planning clinics, or attack the Federal government.

The continual ranting, usually thinly veiled attempts to recruit a presidential assassin, lets not beat around the bush about this, is, thus far, only managing to drag a few idiots out to shoot at police or, as in this case, go after the post office and people trying to mail last minute Christmas gifts.

The only real “grass roots” movements are financed by oil companies, defense contractors and Wall Street, idiots riding around in busses or threatening to blow things up and, thus far, the “lone gunman” type domestic terrorist.  Why is it so important to the powerful and influential that Americans learn to hate their own country?

Two things will come of this minor episode.

  1. It has established a need for gun control where one didn’t exist before.
  2. It will convince the domestic terrorists to plan better and find more dedicated killers.

And so it goes…
