The New York Times today is running a story concerning the substance of the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan’s cables to the White House last November. They are stark reminders of the divisions within our government relative to our Af-Pak policies. I am not the only one who opposses General McChrystal’s myopic view of the situation.
The piece is entitled U.S. Envoy’s Cables Show Concerns on Afghan War Plans and is best read without any further comments from me in order for its full impact to be felt by our readers.
