One month before the most important meeting for all veterans and especially the Gulf War Veterans 1990-1991 who are coming together in Dallas, Texas. The location was chosen because it is in the center of the country where the Gulf War Veterans came together for the first time nationally and internationally. It is the home of Mr Ross Perot and UTSWMedical that have done so much for gulf war veterans! WE have worked to get affordable rooms with breakfast meals included and to make it logistically easy for veterans that will fly in to attend. WE will work with local veterans to pick up other veterans that will possibly fly in on Southwest Airlines(Love Field) and get them over to DFW hotel. WE are working to raise funds to help as many as we can to attend.
What can you do REGISTER TO ATTEND at www.ngwrc.org. Make your room reservations! Spread the word as widely as possible and encourage others to come!
Help if you can donate, find us more sponsors, have fundraisers ie car washes, aluminum can recycling, etc.
I had two family members of a deceased gulf war veteran fund their trip to DC from Kentucky by having a car wash that was posted on hometown website and an ad in their local papers. Waste Management systems is a national company where recycling can be done, you can contact them in your location.
Firefighters here stand on street corners with their boots for collection of Donations, we could do the same. Just try to do it early AM or late PM to stay out of heat of the day (Gulf War Veterans please pay heed and stay out of heat and limit time in SUN our neurological condition warrants taking this precaution).
WE need to stand together as we did 20 years ago! Get involved come, help anyway you can, communicate to all.
