"Chuck Norris wannabee," Senate candidate Joe Miller

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

Armed extremist militia working for Tea Party senate candidate Joe Miller attacked and handcuffed reporter Tony Hopfinger at a “Townhall Meeting” at Central Middle School in Anchorage, Alaska last night.  Hopfinger asked Miller questions about his background, questions that led to a violent reaction from Miller’s mercenaries.  Candidate Miller, a stanch “states rights” conservative who opposes federal aid to education, abolishing unemployment benefits,  Social Security and the minimum wage, Medicare, Medicaid and federal farm subsidies contracted with Drop Zone Security to prevent questions about his background.  Miller, an attorney, West Point Graduate, and former Federal magistrate was discovered to have a long history of, not only receiving farm subsidies but unemployment benefits, medicaid and a series of other subsidized low income benefits even though he was both a West Point graduate and held a law degree.

Miller is another “Tea Party 3 Dollar Bill” phony, anti-government militia type.

The “security company” responsible for the “arrest” is Drop Zone, accused of racist/supremacist ties, actually a local surplus store.  The owner denies racist beliefs but examination of the business location tells another story.  Racist depictions of President Obama are in the window and anti-government slogans are posted around the “store.”  Management claims a staff of 45 employees with 95% “medically discharged veterans recovering from the horrors of war.”  None of this has been verified but if the actions seen at Central Middle School are any indication, lack of fitness to serve in the military may carry over to ability to serve as armed security in the political arena.
The idea that Miller, with a long history of contacts with armed anti-government militia movements, would use force to prevent questions that would show him to be less than truthful about his own background, makes him particularly unfit for service in the Senate, as sad an institution as it is.  Miller shows active service in Operation Desert storm, and if his personal biography is at least partially correct, and we have no reason to doubt that, he is educated and experienced but simply has poor decision making abilities.
Militia darlings, Sarah and Joe "all smiles"
This, of course, reminds me of Senator John McCain.  In a similar incident recently, Senator McCain was confronted at a townhall meeting in Tempe, Arizona by author Jeff Gates.
Video of the exchange shows Gates grinding McCain into the ground over contacts with organized crime figures, a questioning McCain takes with little complaint.  McCain, former presidential candidate and long time senate leader had no security.  Joe Miller of Alaska, a virtual unknown, had as large a security force as the Vice President of the United States, at least if the Vice President contracted with an extremist militia operating out of a back woods store.
Alaska is a funny place.  Politics there are different, something Sarah Palin has proven to the world.  Talent and qualifications mean nothing, as with politics elsewhere, that part is consistent.  Alaska has its own special product, the local hypocrite, self righteous, “creative” and clearly operating outside even the worst standards set even by the Bush and Obama administrations, if that is possible.
Complaining about Fascism is a way of life in Alaska.  Living Fascism, living “militia”  is THE way of life in Alaska.
