Westward Seafood’s is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maruha Nichiro.  They were established in 1989 and started operations in 1991.  In 2004, Western Alaska Fisheries merged with Westward Seafood’s to form what is now known as Westwards Seafood’s Inc.  Their main production plant is in Dutch Harbor, focusing on Alaskan Pollock.  They also have a plant in Kodiak which allows them to source more Alaskan fish and shellfish from the Bering Sea to the Gulf of Alaska.  Today, Westward Seafood’s continues to be a leader in Alaska’s seafood industry.  The future is bright for Westward Seafood’s as a natural and healthy seafood nutrition becomes more important to consumers.

Westward Seafood’s is also known for the highest standards in quality control.  They have in house labs and HACCP approved state-of-the-art processing plants which follow extremely stringent quality control procedures.  This ensures that all of their products are the best the ocean has to offer, and exceeds their customers’ expectations.

Between their two main plants, they have a total production of 300,000,000 pounds of fish.  The fish that they are producing is Pollock, Cod, Halibut, Black Cod, King Crab, Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab and Salmon.
