Here’s Today’s Department of Defense Contract Awards

 

AIR FORCE

Boeing Satellite Systems, Inc., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $376,523,860 firm-fixed-price contract for the modification of the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Block II follow-on contract.  This contract exercises the option to produce, process, launch, and activate on-orbit Satellite Vehicle 9 as previously negotiated.  The location of the performance is Fort Worth, Texas.  Work is expected to be completed by May 2013.  SMC/PKJW, El Segundo, Calif., is the contracting activity (FA8808-10-C-001/P00020).

Allaint Techsystems, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $16,100,000 firm-fixed-price contract for one used Caravan Cessna 208B aircraft, continued contractor logistics support, and spares with associated repair and return effort.  This supports a Foreign Military Sales Program and the Lebanon Air Force Caravan Program.  The location of the performance is El Segundo, Calif.  Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 16, 2016.  ASC/WINK/FMS, Wright-Patterson, Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8620-12-C-4005).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

A.M. General, L.L.C. (SPLO), Mishawaka, Ind., was issued a modification exercising the third option year on contract SPM7LX-09-D-9001/P00044.  The award is a fixed-price with economic price adjustment, sole-source contract with a maximum $360,659,931 for technical, repair parts, components and kits, and operation system supporting the Integrated Logistics Partnership Customer Pay High Mobility, Multi-Purpose, Wheeled Vehicles Program.  Other locations of performance are Pennsylvania and Texas.  Using service is Army.  Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 Defense Working Capital Funds.  The date of performance completion is Jan. 14, 2013.  The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Neany, Inc.*, Hollywood, Md., is being awarded a $11,960,102 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N68335-11-C-0261) to provide training of Persistent Ground Surveillance System operators and deployment services in support of PGSS Phase III B.  Work will be performed in various forward deployed operating bases located in Afghanistan (90 percent), Hollywood, Md. (5 percent), and Yuma, Ariz. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.
