Here’s Today’s Department of Defense Contract Awards

 

AIR FORCE

S&K Aerospace, L.L.C. (prime contractor), Saint Ignatius, Mont.; Parts, Inc. (subcontractor), Stockbridge, Ga.; and General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (subcontractor), Dayton, Ohio, are being awarded a $975,000,000 firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contract to implement a program known as the Parts and Repair Ordering System IV (PROS IV).  PROS IV will provide Foreign Military Sales customers with maintenance and supply support to meet the unique requirements of their weapon systems and military infrastructure.  This is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract comprised of firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contract line item numbers.  The locations of the performance are Saint Ignatius, Mont., Stockbridge, Ga., Dayton, Ohio, and Warner-Robins, Ga.  Work is expected to be completed June 15, 2022.  ASC/PKG, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8630-12-C-5018). 

DynaCorp International, L.L.C., Falls Church, Va., is being awarded a $99,879,424 firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursable contract for the Egyptian Personnel Support Services Program.  This program will provide support services for Department of Defense employees, contractor personnel, and dependents stationed in Egypt permanently or on temporary duty status.  These personnel support various Foreign Military Sales programs on behalf of the Egyptian military.  This source selection will be the fourth contract to provide support services in Egypt contracted by the Air Force Security Assistance Center.  The location of the performance is Falls Church, Va.  Work is expected to be completed May 31, 2017.  AFSAC/PK, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8630-12-C-5002).

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,973,286 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for 18 range safety systems with jammer compatibility for Low Rate Initial Production 3, Reliability Assessment Program and initial operational flight tests.  The location of the performance is Tucson, Ariz.  Work is expected to be completed Feb. 15, 2014.  AAC/EBJM, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (FA8682-10-C-0007, P00042).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

MedImmune Biologics, Inc., Gaithersburg, Md., was issued a modification exercising the first option year on contract SPM2DP-11-D-0008/P00003.  The award is a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract with a maximum $27,175,067 for influenza vaccine, nasal spray.  Other location of performance is Pennsylvania.  Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.  There was one solicitation with one response.  Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012/2013 Defense Working Capital Funds.  The date of performance completion is June 29, 2013.  The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace, L.L.C., Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $21,209,470 modification to a previously awarded an indefinite-delivery requirements contract (N00019-05-D-0023) for logistics services support of 119 TH-57B/TH-57C aircraft.  Services to be provided include repair and/or overhaul of aircraft, engines, avionics, and related components.  Funds will not be obligated at time of award.  Work will be performed at Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Milton, Fla., and is expected to be completed in September 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin, Liverpool, N.Y., is being awarded a $14,949,173 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-08-C-6282) for the production and support of multi-function towed arrays (MFTA) for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 antisubmarine warfare combat systems.  The MFTA is the next generation passive and active sonar receiver.  It affords several enhancements to the AN/SQR-19 Tactical Towed Array System allowing greater coverage, increased capability/reliability, and reduced obsolescence.  Multi-function towed array significantly contributes to the capability of surface ships to detect, localize, and prosecute undersea threats and is a critical sensor to a combat systems suite.  Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y. (60 percent); Baltimore, Md. (20 percent); Cleveland, Ohio (14 percent); and Phoenix, Ariz. (6 percent).  Work is expected to be completed by January 2014.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Walbridge Aldinger Co., Detroit, Mich., is being awarded $11,515,000 for firm-fixed-price task order 0003 under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N40085-10-D-5331) for construction of an H-1Y/Z helicopter gearbox repair and test facility at Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point.  This single-story high bay building facility will include a disassembly area, parts kitting area, production/control clean parts area, assembly area for the main rotor gearbox, assembly area for the immediate and tailor rotor gearboxes, flushing room and integrated quality team area, main rotor gearbox test cell and intermediate/tail rotor gearbox test cell.  The task order also contains one unexercised option, which, if exercised, would increase cumulative task order value to $12,005,506.  Work will be performed in Havelock, N.C., and is expected to be completed by August 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Five proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.

Peckham Vocational Industries, Inc.*, Lansing, Mich., is being awarded a $10,050,079 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 2,020 CMU-37/P and 2,742 CMU-38/P aircrew endurance vests for the Navy.  Work will be performed in Lansing, Mich., and is expected to be completed in December 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract, which is a sole-source AbilityOne award, was not competitively procured.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-12-C-0098).

Rockwell Collins, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $6,505,448 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0069) to exercise an option to provide AN/ARC-210(V) electronic radio and ancillary equipment for the MH-60 aircraft.  The modification provides for the following quantities:  48 RT-1990(C)/ARC receiver-transmitters for MH-60R and 28 RT-1990(C)/ARC receiver-transmitters for MH-60S.  The work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed in September 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
