A Master Guitarist Make a 299 Hour Flamenco Guitar in Three Minutes

I can’t speak for you folks, but I need a break now and then, even from work that I love.
The pace, the multi-tasking and then the endless hours in front of a computer screen scream for some visual diversion.
Gordon has his 15, excuse me, now 17 cats…which for non cat person is heaven on earth it you want distraction.
But one of my favorites, which I only have to feed occasionally and there are never any veterinarian bills, has always been watching a skilled craftsman or artist actually doing their work.
Just a little tip for you all, rehearsals for events like plays and concerts are often free, and really interesting to experience the behind the scenes process.
I have some of these experiences in my video archives which I plan to be sharing with you. But for a time when I was tired and trying to beat the midnight witching hour I have been saving a special one for you.
Watching people make instruments by hand in the classic way is an affordable time machine. And one night when hunting good Vimeo movies I found this fabulous production of the 299 hours it takes to hand build a flamenco guitar.
We honor not only the craftsman here, but the videographer and editing involved in pulling something like this together with a great musical score.
And at the end of this creative line comes VT, as we also play a role in seeking out and finding gems to share with you all.
Yes, we know you need a break, too, some escape from some of the intense material that we deal with here. We appreciate you’re hanging in there with us, so the treat is on us.
Part of the VT journey is not being predictable, with some dares and surprises now and then. This is one of those. Enjoy.
