Just how many shoes will drop in the budding Cyber Gate scandal?
First a British newspaper reported the U.S. government was secretly mining the phone records of millions of Americans.
Then the chairman of the House Intelligence committee claimed the data gathering practice had actually stopped a terrorist attack.
Followed by a report saying the U.S. shares the records with British intelligence.
Now reports expose secret government tapping of U.S. Internet providers going back to 2007.
* Fourteen current and former Marines and one sailor are under arrest in San Diego for allegedly dealing drugs and stealing military gear and cars.
The 15 are among 50 people busted after an 8-month undercover operation.
The sting netted firearms, ammunition and more than 90 stolen vehicles worth nearly $700,000.
* The Navy’s $34 billion Littoral Combat Ship program is drawing the wrong kind of attention from Congress.
In the last year, questions have arisen over the ship’s firepower, defenses and survivability.
A draft GAO report suggests Congress should slow down buying the ship until more testing can be done.
