“Imperialism has been the most powerful force in world history over the last four or five centuries, carving up whole continents while oppressing indigenous peoples and obliterating entire civilizations.  Yet, it is seldom accorded any serious attention by our academics, media commentators, and political leaders.  When not ignored outright, the subject of imperialism has been sanitized, so that empires become “commonwealths,” and colonies become “territories” or “dominions”  Imperialist military interventions become matters of “national defense,” “national security,” and maintaining “stability” in one or another region”
–Professor Michael Parenti, in Chapter One of his book “Against Empire”.
“We belong to the superior race and civilization… The basic justification of conquest over native peoples is the conviction of our superiority – not just economic and military but also moral…That quality underlies our right to direct the rest of humanity”…
–Jules Harmand, French Colonialist, 1910
“Global democracy means ensuring that the world is run for our benefit”
–George Orwell, 1932 (Prior to his Anti-tyranny conversion)

[UPDATE ON IRAQ]
A new justification for invading Iraq emerged this week from a senior White House Official who served in the Bush Administration:

The New Justification:

“The only reason we went into Iraq, I tell people now, is we were looking
for somebody’s ass to kick. Afghanistan was too easy.”

-Peter Baker, Chief White House correspondent for the N.Y. Times, in his new book; “Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House”, quoting a former senior Bush White House official

The Old Justification from former Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz:

“The truth is that for reasons that have a lot to do with the U.S. government bureaucracy, we settled on the one issue that everyone could agree on which was weapons of mass destruction as the core reason,”

Can you guess who wrote these prophetic remarks about the invasion of Iraq?     (Answer at the end of the Article)
“We say we are in Mesopotamia (Iraq) to develop it for the benefit of the world. How far will the killing of ten thousand villagers and townspeople this summer hinder the production of wheat, cotton, and oil?  How long will we permit millions of pounds, thousands of Imperial troops, and tens of thousands of Arabs to be sacrificed on behalf of colonial administration which can benefit nobody but its administrators?”

RACISM, GREED, and HUBRIS:  The Underlying Evils of Empires

Please Watch this Video as an introduction to the subject titled, “Europe’s Racism: A History”

Can any man or woman in their hearts of hearts ever accept or approve of one person, one people, or one nation to have dominion, subjugate, oppress, enslave, or murder at whim other members of the human race?
For those of us who’ve experienced wars, invasions, occupation, indiscriminate bombings from land, sea, and air of civilians first hand, who’ve seen the remnants of “Made In America” rockets, missiles, and unexploded shells of cluster bombs, we can only turn to God for help for the world lives in fearful silence of raising its conscientious voice against the war criminals who politically, economically, or militarily dominate the world’s stage.  They kill the innocents at will with total impunity and with utter disdain and disregard for all divine and human laws that they impose and demand other nations to abide by.
We can only pray and ask why are our children fodder for modern weapons unleashed by Europe, America, and Israel?   What crimes have these children committed to deserve to be burned alive?   Do these men created by the same God as us have any compassion, any conscience, or are their hearts so hardened that their perception of the  “other” is simply that of an animal ready for slaughter at a time and place of their choosing.

SO UNLIKE YOU, WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK: “WHY DO YOU  HATE US?”
With few exceptions the entire world came under the dominion of European Imperialism and colonialism.  Such rule was brutal, oppressive, ruthless with constant genocides, ethnic cleansing, and Holocausts.   Europe robbed the lands it conquered of its resources and people to enrich itself and live in wealth and comfort, damn the fate and plight of the inferior dark peoples..
“European opulence is literally scandalous, for it has been founded on slavery, nourished with the blood of slaves… The well-being and progress of Europe have been built up with the sweat and the dead bodies of Negroes, Arabs, Indians and the yellow races… Europe is literally the creation of the Third World.”.
–Frantz Fanon, From “The Wretched of the Earth”, Penguin Reprtint 1990

Europe’s Domination of the Americas and the entire Southern Hemisphere of the World, the Dark Skinned World.

Only those ignorant of history or perhaps carry a prejudicial outlook themselves can deny the inherent racism against the “other” found in the white world.   Europe and the U.S. still struggle with racism till this day.  One only needa to read official reports on Racism to understand and appreciate the extant of the evil of such attitudes.
Even the western creation of the term the “Third World” attributed to the Frenchman A. Sauvy in 1952 (Tiers Monde) is racist as it is used to identify the underdeveloped world of the southern hemipsher from Latin America, Africa, to Southern Asia, as compared to the west’s self identification as the “First World”, with the Communist bloc being the “Second World”.
Who knew that our single world can be divided into three based on race, color, ethnicity, and wealth.

The British Empire: “Where the Sun Never Sets”

In 1583 Newfoundland (Canada) became the first colony of the British Empire (New Found Land).in North America.   The last British colonies to receive their independence were the Arab Gulf nations in 1971.
Within 300 years the British Empire soon ruled over one fourth of the world’s land mass and one third of its total population.
The British Empire was the largest empire in world history and no empire since has left a greater legacy of brutal imperial rule and colonization of lands from North America to New Zealand.

The British Empire Ruled over One Third of the World's Population from North America to New Zealand.
The British Empire Ruled over One Third of the World’s Population from North America to New Zealand.

Mark Curtis, a renowned British historian, in his 2004 book, “Unpeople: Britain’s Secret Human Rights Abuses” .  In it he recounts the long brutal, oppressive, and murderous history of the British empire.  His review of British historical documents which obviously would severely underestimate the number of peoples killed by Britain directly or indirectly to be between 8.6 million to 13.5 million people throughout the world since 1945 only
The British Empire left a legacy of global devastation, conflicts, border disputes, wars, terrorism, and ethnic cleansing that the world has never seen before nor since.
In London, Paris, New Delhi, and Kabul the British created the artificial borders and boundaries of newly created nations such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Israel, and Lebanon.  Till this day those regions and nations are the most unstable, warring conflicts in the world that could potentially engulf the entire world in a nuclear war.
In South Asia the British drew the problematic, artificial, and archaic boundaries first between India and Afghanistan, the Durand Line, then upon Pakistan’s independence between Afghanistan and Pakistan.   The British civil servants who drew these boundaries have never traveled to the region, studied its history, ethnic makeup, or religions.   The boundary between India and Pakistan had to be drawn up within five weeks prior to India’s independence thus ensuring border conflicts between the two nations especially over Kashmir.
Please Watch This Video on the History of the British Empire in India and Afghanistan and the British decision to draw arbitrary borders between Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan.
The Durand Line:

These artificial borders have led to conflicts, disputes, and wars between the three nations of India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
The British and French under the Sykes Picot agreement again drew artificial borders in the Arab world creating new nations with boundaries that encompass different religious, ethnic, and tribal groups leading to constant instability and wars.
Please Watch the Video on the LIes, Betrayal, and Tragedy of the Sykes-Picot Agreement and the Balfour Declaration that still have deadly consequences till this day.

Many of the world’s conflicts can be traced to European Colonialism and their ignorant arrogance to draw borders, create new nations, move masses of people from their land to some artificially chosen area, and establish puppet dictators as their paid caretakers.
Perhaps the best racist example of the utter disregard of the lives of the dark skinned populations was summed up by the British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, a devout Christian Zionist, who declared at the Disarmament Conference after World War 1 in Geneva.
“At Geneva other countries would have agreed not to use aeroplanes for bombing purposes, but we insisted on reserving the right to bomb NIGGERS!  Whereupon the whole thing fell through, & we add 5 millions to our air armaments expenditure?
–David Lloyd George, in his Diary entry March 9, 1934, in “Lloyd George: A Diary”, published 1971, p. 259..
Although Churchill is generally regarded as a statesman he was in the mode of other imperial racists when it came to the growth and preservation of the British empire.
Churchill made the following remarks in 1920 as Colonial Secretary regarding the Arab and Kurdish rebellion in Iraq against British rule.  Churchill was the first to introduce and use Chemical Weapons in the Middle East.
“I do not understand this squeamishness about the use of gas. We have definitely adopted the position at the Peace Conference of arguing in favor of the retention of gas as a permanent method of warfare…. I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilized tribes…. would spread a lively terror”.
—From Companion Volume 4, Part 1 of the official biography, WINSTON S. CHURCHILL, by Martin Gilbert (London: Heinemann, 1976)
A Quote from the British Air Marshall Sir Arthur Harry, known as “Bomber Harry” regarding Britains ability to launch a massive attack on Iraqs within 45 Minutes.
“The Arab and Kurd now know what real bombing means in casualties and damage. They know within 45 minutes a full-sized village can be nearly wiped out and a third of its inhabitants killed or injured”.
–Air Marshall Sir Arthur Henry; 1924, [From Economic & Plitical Weekly, January 9, 1999
45 Minutes should sound familiar to those who followed the Lies of the War Criminals who annihilated an innocent nation.
Eighty years later the “45 Minutes” appeared again in Tony Blair’s discredited Dossier to bolster the argument to attack Iraq where he claimed that Saddam Hussein can launch weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes. The 45 minute intel was obtained from an Iraqi taxi driver who said he overheard Iraqi military officials discussing the time frame.

The French Empire:

The French empire concentrated mainly on Africa and Indochina.   As mentioned before they with the British divided and created the New Middle East in the Sykes Picot Agreement.  The French were staunch supporters of Zionism and helped start Israel’s nuclear program.
Algeria, a French colony, was settled by tens of thousands of French citizens who constructed their settlements across Algeria.   When the Algerians began their resistance to gain independence France killed over One Million Algerians in addition to mass arrests, torture, hanging, and executions.
Till this day France refuses to apologize for the holocaust it inflicted upon the Algerian people.
The Vietnamese rose against France and were able to defeat it and expel it from their land only to have the U.S. enter Vietnam which ended in similar defeat.  The U.S. did not learn anything from European imperialism as it entered Afghanistan and Iraq, two nations where resistance to the British led to their independence.

The French Empire from North America, Africa, to Indochina.

Anyone who travels the world will find European languages spoken from Latin America, the Caribbean, to Africa where the far majority of the continent speaks French, to South and Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.  For all intensive purposes the English language and the American culture are the dominant forms of language and culture around the world.
The rapid decline in the use of native languages, cultural traditions, religious practices, morality, and locally developed Constitutions are due primarily to the powerful influence of Western Imperialism and Colonialism around the world.

Europe’s “Scramble for Africa”.

The Berlin Conference where European Powers met to divide the entire continent of Africa. They raped, stole, and enslaved the continent to enrich themselves while imoverishing hundreds of millions of people, the "inferior" black race.
The Berlin Conference where European Powers met to divide the entire continent of Africa. They raped, stole, and enslaved the continent to enrich themselves while imoverishing hundreds of millions of people, the “inferior” black race.

Once again white European men meet in another European capitol, Berlin, to divide and decide the fate of the entire continent of Africa.  As always the subjugated people’s wishes were never considered.
As European imperial powers competed for territories and resources in the African continent it became necessary to convene a conference between the powers to negotiate what was called the “Partition of Africa” amongst them.
The conference was called the “Berlin Conference” (1884–85) and was attended by the Imperial powers of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Austria-Hungary Empire, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain, and the Sweden-Norway Union.   The U..S was invited but did not attend.
We need to recall the tens of millions of Africans kidnapped from their homes in the slave trade to Europe and the United States.  Millions died in this evil trade of human beings – blacks were seen as divinely created to serve whites according to biblical teachings.
“However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you.  You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land.  You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance.  You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way”.  (Old Testament: Leviticus 25:44-46)
AND
“Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear.  Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ”.    (New Testament: Ephesians 6:5 NLT)
The white man saw no moral or religious conflict between Christian beliefs and the horrors of war, slavery, invasions of other nations, mass bombings, rape, exploitation, and torture of humans simply because of the color of their skin, their poverty, and military weakness.
Slaves built many of the beloved monuments in Europe and America.
Here’s a Map of Africa under European “White Man’s Burden” Colonial Rule.  European powers fought several wars amongst themselves for the riches of Africa such as the Boer War in South Africa over gold and diamonds.

The Belgian King Leopold’s Holocaust of the Congo

The Belgian King Leopold 11 gained personal control and ownership of the Congo in Africa.  He exploited, enslaved, and committed the largest holocaust known to man till that time by murdering an estimated TEN MILLION people.   He became very wealthy through Congo’s riches of Ivory, Rubber, and other minerals.
Any slave who refused to work would have his entire village and his limbs amputated.   The Belgian company overseeing the miners would hold their children hostage to ensure they returned with the appropriate quote of their mined product.
Conclusion:
The history of western empires and their racist domination of peoples, lands, and resources for their economic benefit has not ended but still continues to this day.  The entire world is still victimized by such western imperialism and colonialism manifested in wars, civil wars, ethnic cleansing, political instability, languishing poverty and disease, vast underdevelopment, social chaos, religious and sectarian violence, and terrorism.
Yet the Third World must accept the responsibility of dictatorial and illegitimate governments, mass corruption, internal oppression, murder, imprisonment of thousands and their torture, disappearance of persons, rape of women and girls, loss of the native language and an adherence to faith, the theft of national resources and income by the ruling elite, and a political atmosphere of damn the people as long as I’m in piower and able to steal the national wealth.
No longer can the underdeveloped world hide behind the evil legacy of western imperialism to justify the misery of their people.
The people must accept that they are responsible for their current fate and their future destiny.
Rise my people of the Southern Hemisphere and proclaim your independence from the internal tyranny and corruption in your own lands, then proclaim your independence from any foreign interference and domination.
