Alan asked to have this published.  He is, by far, the “senior fellow” reporting on Palestinian -Israeli relations, a long time friend of both Meir and Arafat.

For myself, describing Israel as a violent extremist state, which I genuinely believe it to have become, while here in another so similar, an America that laughs about killing around the world, is frustrating at the least.

I think of how long Alan has been doing this and my own 40 years seems like nothing.  g
