Scarlett Johansson for SodaStream: ‘Set the bubbles free’ but keep the Palestinians bottled in Area A
First, I love Scarlett Johansson. Her movies always provide great entertainment and fun but this is NOT great and this is NOT funny!
As reported by Annie Robbins from MondoWeiss.net, the sultry Scarlett Johansson is adding another image to her resume as the new face of apartheid for SodaStream.
She’s signed on with SodaStream for its Super Bowl ad to be aired on February 2, launching the corporation’s new worldwide advertising campaign with the sales pitch “better bubbles, made by you and Scarlett.”
The SodaStream factory is built in the Mishor Adumim Industrial Zone, located in the settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim, one of the largest Israeli thefts of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank. The chunk of land the settlement is built on separated Ramallah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Jericho in violation of human rights and international law.
At the announcement yesterday, Johansson appeared before a backdrop that bragged, “Set the bubbles free.” Her mother is Jewish, and the Times of Israel calls her a “Jewish actress”.

My guess is that your agent signed you up, took the money, and told you what time to be there completely unaware of that this firm is associated with Occupation and Apartheid doing harm to millions. That would be plausible and so we at VT provide you this notice so that you are fully aware that by standing with this firm, you are engaging and sponsoring Apartheid.

It’s curtain time and it is NOW up to you to pull that curtain back down, reject the dirty money they are paying you and get on an even bigger stage by just saying NO to 20th century apartheid and YES to a new paradigm, a new future that says NO to sponsoring products and services that do harm. Don’t worry, we the people will back you and stand by you.
They may be the ones who get you in the movies but we are ones that make you famous by our support and if you back APARTHEID well, you will have to live with that stain and be remembered as such….. not exactly a Nelson Mandela tribute. This is your big moment!”

From 2004 to 2023, he owned and managed VT Foreign Policy retiring at the end of 2023.
Punish is also a recording artist. He has over 100 original songs written. He records and produces music. A member of ASCAP, Punish has several songs placed in feature films. His music is promoted worldwide and played on all digital networks and net radio.
