With the power to delight – and disturb – life can be volatile. One of the best ways to harness life is to appreciate it in all its various aspects. Remembering to be grateful for what we have is often a way to have more reasons to be grateful.

Life has a way of limiting our additional reasons to be grateful, when we are too seldom thankful for the life we do have.

While becoming ever more cognizant of the many ways our world is under attack by dark forces, please try to balance that knowledge with thankfulness for your new understandings and for all the other reasons we should be grateful: Our loved ones, like-minded beings, our pets, shelter, food, water, sleep, and for every breath we draw.

In short, should we not be grateful for the very life that still beats in our chests?

Can gratefulness continue after our throb of life ceases? Certainly, if we intend it to be so, as gratefulness, akin to love, is one of the most powerful forces in existence.

Please try it and find that truth for yourself: Be grateful, no matter how paltry your current life may seem to be.

Become more fully alive with the joy of gratitude.
