Ambassador Abou Said “Any ground Offensive against Syria will be Catastrophic.”
Secretary General of the European Department for Security and Information Ambassador Dr Haissam bou Said warned against any ground offensive on Syria, saying “if it takes place, it would be catastrophic on the whole region and the world.”
“There will be no tolerance at all if such a thing happens, and it will be regarded as a flagrant aggression,” Bou Said said, adding “all means will be on the table for halting it.”
Bou Said said “Turkey and Saudi Arabia will not perpetrate now any aggression, because the world order, including the US, will be against it due to the developments pertinent to the Iranian nuclear talks.”
He concluded “what is said in the media by Saudi Arabia and Turkey is uncalculated juvenile adventure and cannot possible be implemented on the ground.”
Ambassador Bou Said ended a two-day official visit to Syria where he discussed with Syrian top officials issues of mutual concern and avenues for cooperation.

اعلن المكتب الإعلامي للأمين العام للمنظمة الأوروبية للأمن والمعلومات وسفير البعثة الدبلوماسية الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد أنّ اي تدخّل بري في سوريا سيكون كارثياً على المنطقة والعالم بأسره.
واكّد المكتب أنّه وخلال لقاءات الأمين العام للمنظمة الأوروبية الأخيرة في سوريا لن يكون هناك تساهل في أي عمل أمني قد يطال وحدة الشعب السوري، وكل عمل سيُشنّ عليها سيكون بمثابة عدوان صارخ سيتم التحفظ عن إعلان طريقة الردّ وكل الطرق الدبلوماسية وغيرها متاحة لوقف هذا العدوان إذا ما تمّ.
وأشار الأمين العام إلى أنّ تركيا والسعودية غير قادرة على القيام بهكذا عدوان لمعرفتها مسبقاً أنّ النظام الدولي بما فيها الولايات المتحدة الأميركية ستكون في موقع الرافض حاليا نظراً للتطورات البارزة والمتقدّمة على الساحة الملف النووي الإيراني. وشدد السفير الدكتورأبو سعيد أنّ هذه المغامرة صبيانية غير مدروسة ولن يستطيعوا تنفيذها وكل الكلام الإعلامي الصادر في هذا الشأن يقع تحت التهويل الإعلامي.
