  1. Facebook-WhatsApp deal: WhatsApp is one of the apps that not only replaced the texting service, but also provides a great messaging experience. Seeing the rapid fame of WhatsApp; Facebook bought it for 22 billion dollars. Facebook also added privacy feature along with many other features. There are rumors that WhatsApp will soon have voice calling feature with the Whatsapp Status and Sharing of DP’s. Both Facebook and WhatsApp are indeed popular among all age groups. Let’s see what new services these influential companies will provide.

  1. Google-Nest deal : Google known as ‘Search Giant’ paid 3.2 billion dollars to buy Nest. The Nest is a company which provides thermostat, smoke and CO detector. The deal was locked on February 7. Goggle purchased Nest as it wants to leave a mark in the security and smart home systems.
  1. Apple-Beats deal : Apple made its largest takeover by purchasing the Beats musical and Beats Electronics. Beats have an Android app this way for the very first time Apple has an Android based product.
  1. Lenovo-Motorola deal : The deal of the merger of Lenovo and Motorola was first announced in January by Lenovo. After this merger, they became the third largest company in the smartphones. It was first assumed that Motorola is getting into a merger because they are about to be shut down. But Motorola launched its Moto G series proving everyone by its success that they have no intention to leave the market.
  1. Facebook-Oculus Rift deal : Oculus Rift is a virtual company. In February Facebook announced that it’s buying Oculus in 2 billion dollars. Mark Zuckerbug stated that Oculus will be operated separately, but it will be interesting to see that how Mark will blend the virtual company with its social networking.
  1. Rakuten-Viber deal : The Japanese electronics and internet company Rakuten purchased Viber for 900 million dollars. Three hundred million additional users were added to the Rakutens network after it purchased Viber. Similarly Viber gained many users.
  1. Flipkart-Myntra deal : The much awaited deal of Flipkart and Myntra was signed for more than 300 million dollars. Flipkart is a leader in selling multiple products where as Myntra is a leading fashion retailer.
  1. Intel-Basis Science deal : Intel announced in March that it has own Basic Science for 100 Million dollars. The time the deal was signed basic science sold a watch which is the worlds most advanced health tracker. After this deal Basic Science launched a tracker device that gives health details to its user for $199.
  1. Apple-IBM partnership : The Apple made a partnership with IBM but still its a huge deal. After the deal IBM is working on creating a business application for IPads and IPhones. These business applications will be supported by Apple Care. The business applications include retail, government, insurance etc.
  1. Yahoo : It has owned more than 50 companies in the last two users and 17 companies in the last year. Yahoo purchased many messaging companies including Blank, MessageMe app etc.
