Lionville Middle School students traveled to Washington D.C. on Sunday with veterans to visit war memorials and to honor the fallen.
Students from the school club, called “Patriots Club” were accompanied on the bus trip by veterans from the Downingtown VFW, who Lionville Middle School Principal Jonathan Ross described as friends of the students.
“This trip is a culminating event for the club who has spent the year working with veterans at various events including our own Veterans Day assembly and Memorial Day ceremony,” Ross said prior to the trip.
