Harrisburg veterans center closes

In February 2015, the Veterans Connections Center opened a location at the Harrisburg Mall, but the doors closed shortly after the grand opening.
“We had funding and volunteer issues and didn’t have choice,” said Robert Brandt, co-founder of the Veteran’s Connection Center. “I was funneling a lot of my own money into keeping it alive and we just could not do it anymore. We apologize we could not keep things rolling for the guys and girls that needed our help.”
Brandt started a Go Fund Me page to try to keep the center open. It raised a little over $1,000.
“There was some people that came to our aid when we really needed it the most and helped us out, but unfortunately we just could not keep things rolling in the right direction,” Brandt said.
