Harmless Israeli Airstrike over Damascus Confirmed, attempt to get Syria to Use Secret S300 Capability
TEHRAN (FNA)- A Syrian military source said the Israeli Air Force violated the Syrian airspace on Thursday and struck the 155th Brigade’s Headquarters.

Al-Masdar quotes a military source from the Syrian Air Defense as saying that the Israeli Air Force did indeed violate Syrian airspace on Thursday to strike the 155th Brigade’s Headquarters (also known as the “Missile Base”) for the second time this year and the third time in two years.

According to the military source, the Israeli warplane struck the 155th Brigade’s Headquarters in the Northern Damascus countryside on Thursday evening; this abrupt airstrike did very little damage as it hit an abandoned warehouse outside of the base’s main command center, the website reported.

The source further added that this deliberate attack and violation of Syrian airspace was likely to provoke an aggressive response from the Syrian Air Defense in order for the Israeli Intelligence apparatus to confirm whether or not the Syrian Government now possesses the Russian manufactured S-300 anti-aircraft missile.

Earlier this week, Al-Rai News’ Chief Correspondent, Elijah Magnier, said the Syrian and Iranian Governments were officially in possession of the S-300 missiles, and this would likely agitate the Israeli government.

The military source from the Syrian Air Defense was unable to comment on the reported delivery of the S-300 missiles.

The Russian and Syrian air forces have in many cases pounded the militant groups’ positions to pave the way for the ground forces to have more successful operations against the terrorists.

On Saturday, the Syrian warplanes and helicopter gunships in massive airstrikes razed down terrorists’ positions in Idlib province in preparation for an impending army attack.

The Syrian airstrikes hit positions of terrorists from Jaish al-Fateh in al-Tamanaa village in Maaret al-Nouman area in the Southern countryside of Idlib on Saturday.

The air raids killed and injured a large number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons and equipment.

Syrian Army Kills Senior Militant Commander in Damascus Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops killed large groups of Ajand al-Sham militants, including their top field commander, in a massive raid on their concentration centers in Damascus province, provincial sources said Sunday.

Ajnad al-Sham defense lines in al-Marj region came under massive attack of the Syrian army troops, inflicting a heavy death toll on them, the sources said.

They further added that Salahuddin al-Sulayk, the commander of the terrorist group in the said region was among the killed militants in the army attack.

Earlier reports said that the Syrian Army troops’ operation against the so-called Jeish al-Islam militant group near Douma in Damascus province on Sunday claimed the lives of several militants, including a notorious sniper.

Mahmoud al-Kallas, known as Abu Khalil al-Hout, and four other militant were killed in the Syrian troops’ offensive in Douma in the Eastern Ghouta.

The militant group’s military grid also sustained heavy damage in today’s attack of the pro-government force on their positions.

The Syrian army and its allies have not left any chance for the militant groups to fortify their defense lines, and have stormed their positions across the Damascus province from both ground and air.

On Saturday, the Syrian army made more military gains in the province of Damascus, and took control of strategic farms near the village of Marj al-Sultan.

The army units captured all the farms to the North of Marj al-Sultan village and headed for the villages of Harasta al-Qantara and Nuleh.

The Syrian army also destroyed at least three military positions of Takfiri terrorists in the surrounding areas of Marj al-Sultan Airport as the Syrian troops are still continuing their advances in Eastern Ghouta.

The army also destroyed the military positions of Jeish al-Fatah Takfiri terrorists in Harasta and Jobar regions of Damascus province.

200 More Militants Surrender to Syrian Authorities in Damascus Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- A growing number of militants are giving up fight against the Damascus government as the Syrian army is advancing in multiple front across the country.

Some 200 wanted militants from Zabadani region and Madaya in Damascus province turned themselves in to the authorities on Saturday.

“The Syrian government has vowed to pardon all those who lay down arms voluntarily and it has remained loyal to its pledge so far, and this has encouraged us to give up fight, specially considering that the government troops, National Defense Forces (NDF) and Hezbollah who also enjoy the air backup of the Syrian and Russian air forces has gained momentum in its battlefield victories,” one of those who surrendered in Damascus today said.

Until last year, most surrendering cases happened in Homs and Damascus provinces, but now a growing number of militants lay down arms across the country.

Late in November, sources said some 159 wanted militants turned themselves in to the authorities as the army continues to purge almost the entire coastal province of Lattakia of terrorist groups.

The sources said that the recent victories of the Syrian army and National Defense Forces (NDF), with the back up of the Russia fighter jets, have caused too many Takfiri terrorists to lay down their guns and apply for government pardoning in Lattakia province.

On Nov 11, some 69 wanted militants turned themselves in to the Syrian authorities in the Northern Province of Aleppo as the army defeated the ISIL terrorists who had laid siege on Kuweires Airbase for 2.5 years and still continues to gain more territories in the province.

Some 119 wanted terrorists from Homs province surrendered to the government as the terrorist groups are retreating from several areas across the country.

60 others from the provinces of Damascus, Quneitra and Homs also laid down arms and turned themselves in to the Syrian authorities on Nov 7.

On Oct 28, 49 wanted persons from Damascus, Damascus Countryside, Quneitra, and Hama also surrendered.

On Nov 1, at least 184 terrorists have laid down arms and surrendered to the Syrian authorities in Damascus, Aleppo and Deir Ezzur provinces, local sources said.

Following the Syrian-Russian joint operations, thousands of Takfiri terrorists have also fled Syria to Jordan, Turkey and Europe.
