Uber Italy’s former CEO, Benedetta Arese Lucini, wants to change the way we save our money in the UK.
In hope of bringing about that change, Arese Lucini has co-founded a personal savings app, Oval Money, which is aimed at self-employed people and freelancers with variable income.
The product helps people track their spending habits and save money by automatically programming saving goals, such as rounding up transactions or setting aside a certain amount each month.
Speaking to Yahoo Finance UK, she says: “Around 16 million Britons have less than £100 in their savings account, something has got to change in relation to how people save in the UK [and Europe].”
