Vast oil spill may alter debate on Gulf drilling

3
A few days ago, the oil gushing out of the ruins of the Deepwater Horizon was termed "manageable." By Monday, "manageable" had evolved into 42,000 gallons of oil a day gushing unabated from the wellhead beneath the sunken rig off the coast of Louisiana. The sheen on the Gulf of Mexico had spread across 1,800 square miles of water. Seven skimming boats attempting to mop up the oil began to look overwhelmed.

3
Although “welfare reform is seen as a huge success,” Shaw said, “we’re not measuring the kinds of jobs that people are getting, whether they pay a living wage. We just look at the fact that the rolls are being reduced. Something like 60 percent of the people who are not on welfare anymore are not working either.”

14
By all accounts, the recession is subsiding and important leading sectors of the ecomony are recovering after the biggest recession since 1930s yet, while the country recovers, Arizona may not. With 45 Million Latinos in the USA now alienated and affected by the State of Arizona's new law calling for round-ups based on racial profiling, Arizona is now on the target list of major economic boycotts that could lead Arizona down an ugly road that political and community leaders there did NOT bank on when they decided to pull the trigger on this new legistlation.

The movie's message is that Iraq's feared "weapons of mass destruction" did not exist and that the NEOCONS within the George W. Bush administration completely fabricated and lied about them and killed to cover up the deception on the American people and the world.
