Kelly Trudell, A True Friend to Our Military and Veterans

Veterans have many supporters in our country but none more than Ms. Kelly Trudell, her band and support staff. My wife and I have had the honor to meet this lady and one of her band mates, Daniel Creach, and they are both genuine people that truly care and respect what are active military and its veterans have done for this country.

Recently Ms. Kelly Trudell and Daniel made a trip to Elizabethtown, KY to “meet and greet” Vietnam Veterans and their families for the unprecedented and fantastic WELCOME HOME ceremony which not only involved Elizabethtown but also the towns of Radcliff, Vine Grove, West Point and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Because Kelly was not aware about the event in the initial planning stages and did not find out about it until later, that did not stop her and Daniel from traveling to Elizabethtown and performing for the veterans and their families even though they were not paid.

Kelly is a wonderful singer/songwriter/musician and when you hear her and her band perform, one can tell that her music comes from her heart. She has played at many events that honor our active duty military and veterans and she has made this her life’s mission. Her song, “Cold Sweat” tells the story of her father going to pick up his brother, Kelly’s uncle, after he returned from Vietnam and being spat on by protestors. She will be performing this October 23rd, 2010 at the Mologne House Hotel and Walter Reed Army Medical Center for America’s latest generation that serve our country in the military.

If you get a chance, visit Kelly’s website, “Vigilant Music, Kelly Trudell” and see for yourself how lucky we are to have a supporter like Kelly and her band (http://kellytrudell.net/home.html). Her “Cold Sweat” video is well worth the few minutes it will take to watch and listen.
