  • General Kayani must not allow any slipup in Islamabad
  • Cut the US embassy to size
  • Citizens mobilize in large rallies in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi

Raymond Davis has really kicked off the anti US demonstrations in Pakistan. The already frustrated people have become more hateful of the Americans. When I say America, I do not mean the American continent or the American people but to be precise it’s the power intoxicated arrogant people in the corridors of power of DC.

The developments in Tunisia and Egypt have provided the inspiration to Muslims all over the world that they can have their say. This is going to be a chain reaction in different Muslim countries of the world; a farewell to US puppets. Pakistan is considered to be a ripe case; Raymond Davis has come as a catalyst. The people of Pakistan have already tasted the fruit of street power through long marches that culminated on 16th of March, 2009 when the Judiciary was reinstated. Now the people feel that they too can react and bring about the change that’s more congenial, responsive and responsible towards the need of the people and the state of Pakistan.

The unchecked drone attacks have made Pakistan a laughing stock, the national pride has been thrown to shreds. Not only that but the repeated violation of the law of the land by the Americans in particular and some other countries in general made the people feel very weak. The icing came when Raymond Davis (if this is his true identity) tasted blood in broad daylight in one of the busiest and densely populated neighbourhood, Mozang Chongi of Lahore. Today every Pakistani from every walk of life feels humiliated, insulted and exploited by the US and her agents who control the reigns of the government in Islamabad.

Pakistan society at large feel that had it been for the people in power, Davis would have been long set free and flown out of Pakistan. But the immediate peoples’ reaction has blocked any out of the court deal that the Interior Ministry was contemplating. The kiths of Ibadur Rahman, a man who was crushed under the wheels of the follow up vehicle refused to take the body till the police registered the case. Within minutes of the incident Rana Faisal, a senior police officer talking to the media termed it as a dacoity case. One wonders how without even an initial investigation he could term it as dacoity and granted the killer the right to self defence? The Punjab Chief Minister should order an inquiry of Rana Faisal for such irresponsible attitude and behaviour knowing fully well that it could have a very strong backlash on the streets.

People expect General Ashfaq Kayani to play a role in line with the national aspirations and sentiments whereby Davis’s possible linkages with the terrorist groups should be thoroughly investigated.

The court was moved and people felt relieved when the Lahore high court issued the orders for Raymond’s custody and placing him on exit control list, meaning that now he cannot leave the country before the legal process is completed. People are so infuriated that they are demanding that Davis be hanged publically at Qurtaba Chowk in Mozang where he killed these two boys. The kin of all the three killed have refused to accept blood money, they want blood for blood and at the same spot.

Davis a sharp shooter, shot two boys from inside his car firing through the glass. After having shot them, he came out of his car, photographed the dead and moved back to his car. On inspection, the car was found to be equipped with satellite systems, sophisticated radio equipment, weapons and ammunitions along with maps, binoculars etc. Both boys were hit in the back. Davis is a linguist knowing various Pakistani languages, a trigger happy cowboy from the ‘Wild West’ of the Hollywood. After killing the boys, he sped off on the road like a James Bond movie who was given a chase by two cops and arrested some miles away from the scene of killing. To top it all, he was travelling in a rented car with fake license plate. Even his identity is being questioned. For all known facts all his documents are fake that does not go with the established diplomatic norms and practice.

Why our government is not honouring the cops who chased a well equipped killer who could have killed them also; the boys put their lives at stake to apprehend an American Killer knowing fully well that the government may not support them or even go to the extent of reprimanding them.

Our President, Prime Minister, Interior Minister and host of others in the cabinet never tire of slogans to claim (hollow and shallow) that Pakistan is a sovereign state but nowhere to be seen. The drones are operating from our soil attacking us have killed by few thousands innocent people. Do sovereign states allow such acts? The present government is so compliant that it has made the external policy of Zionist/Neo-Cons dominated US administration as an integral part of our internal and external matters.

What Raymond has done in Lahore was witnessed by Iranians way back in 1964. Now how a proud nation that stands to its words reacted is quoted below. See how Imam Khomeini reacted and avenged it in 1979 by expelling Raza Shah Pahlavi, the US stooge and puppet from Iran. Since then, the US has never found its feet on the Iranian soil. Today Iran may be hated but its respected.

Not to anyone’s surprise, the government is apologetic and regretful for the arrest of Raymond Davis. Since day one, the statements of Rahman Malik, the interior minister are very passive, soft and conciliatory towards the US. People feel that he is pleading the American interests. A similar incident took place in Tehran way back in 1964 to which Imam Khomeini reacted very strongly. The excerpts of his speech from “The Granting of Capitulatory Rights to the USA” 27 October, 1964 are quoted below.

“.I cannot express the sorrow I feel in my heart Iran no longer has any festival to celebrate; they have turned our festival into mourning…They have sold us, they have sold our independence; but still they light up the city and dance The dignity of the Iranian Army has been trampled underfoot! A law has been put before the Majlis according to which we are to accede to the Vienna Convention, and a provision has been added to it that all American military advisers, together with their families, technical, and administrative officials, and servants in short, anyone in any way connected to them ” are to enjoy legal immunity with respect to any crime they may commit in Iran. If some American’s servant, some American cook, assassinates your marja in the middle of the bazaar, or runs over him, the Iranian police do not have the right to apprehend him! Iranian courts do not have the right to judge him! The dossier must be sent to America, so that our master there can decide what is to be done. They have reduced the Iranian people to a level lower than that of the American dog. If someone runs over a dog belonging to an American, he will be persecuted. But if an American cook runs over the Shah, the head of the state, no one will have the right to interfere with him. Why? Because they wanted a loan and Americans demanded this in return.”  Source: Islam and Revolution: Writings and Declarations of Imam Khomeini, p 181-188.

I would request not only every Pakistani but all those around the world where America is acting as the colonial [proxy] master to read the above quote very minutely, I am sure it must be the voice of all those who are suffering at the hands of the Zionist dominated America who has become a tool in the hands of Israel, the real colonial masters of the USA.

My good friend, Hamid Rajput is never found lacking, always browsing and prowling on the look out for anything interesting and important. In the midst of writing, a mail popped up. The moment I opened it, I was totally delighted with the load of information that I found in there. All was not relevant to Raymond Davis but those that could establish American attitude, arrogance and how respectful of the local laws they were is all mentioned below

Davis’s cell phone record confirm his links with terrorists in FATA, he came with 75 others under cover to help during floods.

Tripple JJJ

According to an intelligence report, published by The News, on June 23, 2009, a double-cabin vehicle coming from the NWFP [now Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa] passed through a police check-post at Golra headed for Islamabad where the police tried to stop it for checking but it did not stop. The police passed on a wireless message to the next checkpost considering it a suspicious vehicle. It was intercepted at a check post at Khyber Chowk, G-9/4.

The report said that three American diplomats namely Jeffery, Jeffdic and James Bill Koeen along with a driver named Charlie Benzic belonging to Regional Security Section of the US Embassy were found in the vehicle. They were wearing Shalwar Kameez [pakhtun style] had beards were carrying four M-4 machine guns and four 9 mm pistols. The report said that on the intervention of the then SP Sadar, the vehicle was allowed to go.

John Arso:

In yet another incident, according to the report, on August 5, 2009, Inspector Hakim Khan of Islamabad Police was passing through a check-post near the US Embassy along with his wife in a private car, he was stopped by a US security official John Arso and abused. Once the police inspector told the US official that the latter could not check vehicles on a public road, the US diplomat took out his pistol and said that he could do anything anywhere in Pakistan.

Hakim Khan later formally reported the matter and lodged a complaint with his superiors. No criminal proceedings were initiated against the American but he was sent back to Washington.

According to a media report, it was considered to get John Arso declared persona non grata and the matter was also referred to the Foreign Office but before the FO could proceed on the matter, the Islamabad Police high ups and the US Embassy resolved the matter by reaching a compromise.

Dutch carrying weapons were rescued by Americans:

Last year, when two Dutch diplomats were caught red handed carrying weapons, including hand-grenades, in Islamabad they were allowed to go scot-free despite Foreign Office spokesman’s clear statement that no foreign diplomat, whether American or Dutch or belonging to any other country, was permitted to carry weapons within the territorial limits of Pakistan.

On that occasion, the Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit was quoted to have said that those diplomats who were still carrying weapons were behaving inconsistently with the law of the land.

Interestingly, in the last year’s Dutch diplomats’ case, the Secretariat police formally lodged the complaint against them besides nominating in the report a US embassy’s local employee, Sunny Christopher, a Pakistani citizen, for unnecessarily intervening into the Dutch diplomats’ episode. Pakistani police officials were threatened by Pakistanis working for US embassy of dire consequences if Americans and Dutch carrying grenades in Islamabad were not released.

Some newspaper reports suspect a Dutch-US connection. Some allege that the Dutch were transporting the weapons to the US Embassy. However, US Embassy spokesman had denied these reports.

A US MARINE RIDICULES Pakistan RIGHT BEHIND ZARDARI’S OFFICE

In yet another incident, on August 12, 2009 a young Pakistani boy, living in the Diplomatic Enclave, along with his two friends was passing through a private security checkpost near the US Embassy on a Suzuki car when a US Marine, who was jogging along with his wife, on the same road, stopped the car and broke it side mirror by kicking at it.

The Marine, the report said, also abused the boy and the host country too. The young boy and his friends protested following which the US Marine got them detained by the local security guards present there. They were allowed to go after 40 minutes of detention but only with caution that they would never drive again on that particular road.

US Vigilant Action in the heart of Islamabad

In yet another incident, on August 26, 2009, one Mohsin Bukhari, owner of Shell gas station [petrol], Sector F-6 (Super Market) was stopped on Agha Khan Road by two US nationals at the traffic signal near Marriot Hotel. He was asked to show his identity and then was taken to his gas station where was questioned for 30 minutes where a team of security staff from the US Embassy also joined the two Americans.

According to the intelligence report, Bukhari is the nephew of Syed Nayyer Bukhari, the Leader of the House in the Senate.

In still another incident, the report said, on August 28, 2009 at about 14:00 hours, two vehicles of US Embassy (one five door Prado and one double cabin) were intercepted by the local police on the Kashmir Highway near Peshawar Mor, the vehicles had fake number plates. Initially, the passengers of the vehicles resisted checking but later on arrival of some security officials, they were requested to allow the police to check them as per the law of the land.

Upon checking, the four Americans, who were identified as Pickel Robin Kenneth, Lister Douglas Michael, Clen Denen Jason Robert and Steele Jr Richard Earl, introduced themselves as US Army officials. They were carrying four M-4 rifles and ammunition with them. They did not have any license or authority letter for carrying these weapons.

Upon inquiry, they told that they were working with the Frontier Corps, NWFP, but failed to produce any evidence in support of their statement. They were accompanied by one Ahmedullah, an Afghan national, who is said to be living in the US Embassy without any valid travel document or passport. He just carried a letter from the US Embassy.

The American arrogance has no parallel, they feel that they can kick anyone in the back, no matter where they go, they should not only be questioned but red carpet should be laid for them slaves standing on either side with their eyes down.

On the contrary, when the officials from Pakistan visit the USA, they are made to remove all clothes, shoes etc. for security checks at the airports not giving even a scant of respect even as a courtesy. No diplomatic norms are followed what so ever, now when Raymond Davis is arrested for murdering two Pakistani youth and running over a third one, Americans are demanding diplomatic immunity for the mercenaries from their country.

As a result, public protests are gaining momentum, people are furious and they are in no mood to show any leniency to the killers. Having lost their total faith in the political leadership their only hope is in the judiciary and the army. Now let’s that Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudry and General Ashfaq Kayani live up to the hopes of the national aspirations.

P.S. If Raymond Davis is let off for any reason, it would be a big blow to the national sovereignty, pride and unity. The people concerned must not let this happen else it would be a great setback for Pakistan.
