Here’s Today’s Department of Defense Contract Awards

 

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $535,315,000 advance acquisition contract to provide long lead parts and components required for the manufacture of 38 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot VI F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft (19 Conventional Takeoff and Landing (CTOL) aircraft for the Air Force; 4 CTOLs for the government of Italy; 2 CTOLs for the government of Australia; 6 Short Take-Off Vertical Landing (STOVL) aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps; and 7 Carrier Variant (CV) aircraft for the Navy).  Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (35 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (25 percent); Warton, United Kingdom (20 percent); Orlando, Fla. (10 percent); Nashua, N.H. (5 percent); and Baltimore, Md. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-11-C-0083).

Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, Amarillo, Texas, is being awarded a $34,186,000 delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-07-G-0008) for the Block 20/C Upgrade to the CV-22 Training Devices, including the Cabin Operational Flight Trainer (COFT), Cabin Part Task Trainer, and the Wing Part Task Trainer.  Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz. (57 percent); Fort Worth, Texas, (34 percent); and Ridley Park, Pa. (9 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

TCOM Limited Partnership, A/K/A TCOM, L.P.*, Columbia, Md.,  is being awarded a $12,354,993 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N68335-11-C-0250) for the procurement of hardware in support of Phase III of the Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems (PGSS) for the Army.  Hardware to be provided includes three 28M+ aerostat systems and three site spares to outfit and enhance the capabilities of the existing PGSS currently fielded.  Work will be performed in Elizabeth City, N.C., (90 percent); and Columbia, Md., (10 percent) and is expected to be completed in October 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

G-W Management Services, LLC*, Rockville, Md., is being awarded $9,620,237 for firm-fixed-price task order #0013 under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N40080-10-D-0498) for design and construction of a special communications requirements engineering facility at Webster Field Annex, Naval Air Station Patuxent River.  The work to be performed provides for the construction of a multi-story steel frame building with standard spread footing, standing-seam metal roofing with steel truss roof framing, and masonry exterior.  The exterior includes administrative spaces, storage and work spaces, communication rooms, and laboratory space.  Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed by January 2013.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Five proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corporation, MS2 Radar Systems, Liverpool, N.Y., is being awarded a $30,167,558 firm-fixed-price contract for modernization of 29 AN/FPS 117 long range radars via the essential parts replacement program.  Work will be performed at Liverpool, N.Y.  The OO-ALC/GHSKA at Hill Air Force Base, Utah is the contracting activity (FA8217-11-C-0005-P00002)

Lockheed Martin Corporation, Lockheed Martin Simulator, Training and Support, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $84,321,924 firm-fixed-price contract to provide four weapon systems trainers to support Air Mobility Command, Air Combat Command and Air Force Special Operations Command.  The ASC/WNSK at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (FA8621-11-C-6288).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

North American Rescue, LLC, Greer, S.C. was awarded contract SPM2D0-11-D-0001.  The award is a fixed price with economic price adjustment, indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contract with a maximum $8,097,856 for medical and surgical components and supplies.  There are no other locations of performance.  Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.  The date of performance completion is August 7, 2012.  The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pa.
