The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with qualified, caring Department of Veterans Affairs responders through a confidential toll-free hotline and online chat.

>National Suicide Prevention Week is held the 2nd week of September and serves to honor the memory of those lost to suicide to comfort family members and friends who continue to experience and grieve the loss of loved ones and to celebrate the lives of those individuals who survived a suicide attempt.  It also serves as a way to increase the awareness of Suicide Prevention to individuals who either struggle with thoughts of suicide or know someone who does.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 9:30am to 10:30am the Suicide Prevention Office will be conducting a ceremony to pay tribute to all who have been touched by the many facets of suicide.  Survivors of suicide and family members left behind to deal with loss of a family member to suicide will be present to share their experiences with the audience.

Please make an effort to attend this brief, but emotionally beautiful ceremony.  It will be appreciated by those who seek the comfort and compassion of others.
Light Refreshments will be served.
