Yes, of course I know this description of “us citizen” is offensive to some, may be more than some people however it is true, we are a nation of callous, indifferent stupid fools at best for being so silent all these years. We became our worst enemies to a country we pretend to love and care for.
Our indifference turned this country to a nation of fear, a police and security state at best. True we do not have the 400,000 “secret informers” like that of East Germany, but do not worry about it, our phones are tapped, our grocery shopping are monitored, our medications are kept tapped of, our medical files are accessed.
George Bush and Dick Cheney and all the criminal gangs decided to go to war in Iraq  because they were looking for “somebody’s ass to kick” this is according to a Peter Baker’s of the New York Times new book ” Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House”. Well that may be a good reason to go to war that killed and murdered almost a million, cost us over a trillion and ruined an entire country and people for many years to come. Ah well, a much better reason for us citizens is to kick their ass ( Bush and Cheney) all the way to court and to jail so that all future politicians presidents and members of Congress do not take going to war lightly” to kick ass” and know there is a price to pay when they decide to go to wars.

Rather than have other nations send their police here to the USA to train, we send our police to a nation of common land thieves, to a country where administrative detention can last for years without any charges being files, to a country where a piece of paper from the security agency can send you to years in jail without ever having a chance to review or access the evidence against you. You guessed it Israel. Thanks to our indifference we are the richest nation yet with the largest number of poor. Frankly there is something very wrong with us as a nation and as people. Our dignity as workers and as retires are no more.
In few days, we go the polls and as stupid fools reelect 90% of the House and return the same senators to serve for another 6 years. I guess we never learned any thing all these years. We are taking for a ride, a wild dangerous and reckless ride by our not so illustrious scruples elected representatives who sold their souls, their bodies even their mothers to the devil, the lobbies and Wall Street.
A Congress in cahoots with the crooks and thieves of Wall Streets, who and for the last 40 years been taking us for a wild ride to the dark side of life, to poverty, to unemployment, to looting our retirements and thanks to a very cooperative and criminal partnerships with the White House/Treasury, Congress, certainly the Feds and we do nothing about it. We keep returning same damn people back to office. In fact, our Congress is no different from the feudal warlords of Middle Ages, passing their seats from father to son or to daughter. I am sure they all laugh at us as we line up on a very cold November day to cast our votes, and they have good reasons. We do not take any actions against those who votes with the devil and against us, the citizens. We return them back to office.
There is such a frightening criminal collusion between Congress and the financial sector, and the nightmare we have been experiencing for many years is a result of this collusion. They call it free enterprise, when the rich loot the poor and they call it criminal acts when the poor steal from the rich.
As citizens of these United States, we handed over our destiny of a decent honorable life to a bunch of crooks, decadent at best. I guess no one can say it better than the President of Uruguay Jose Mujica when he described how we substituted God for the Market-God. In an interview with Lucille Neuman of Aljazeera English, recently, he said:
“ We have sacrificed the old immaterial God, and now we are occupying the temple of the Market-God, He organizes our economy, our politics, our habits, our lives, and even provided with rates and credit cards and gives us the appearance of happiness.” Concluding that “ we have been born to consume, and when we can no longer consume, we have a feeling of frustration and we suffer from poverty, and we are marginalized”.
Every where you look around, it is the financial sectors that runs the show, runs Congress, run the White House, certainly run the Treasury and the Federal Reserve, even runs our prisons and are our landlords. They own our homes, our cars, our refrigerators and our Ipads.
Do not wonder why non of the key executives of Wall Streets who through criminal schemes, ruined the lives of tens of millions of people, stole their pension funds and 401-K and who looted our tax dollars did not go to jail. Ah of course JP Morgan can afford to settle a civil suite for $13 Billions with the government and can settle another $ 6 Billions with other private financial institutions, with Bank of America paying a fine of $8.5 billions.
And of course why not since the fines are tax deductible even the legal fees (financial institutions paid over $100 billions since the financial crisis). We want blood and we want these SOB’s to go to jail, not the five stars correctional facilities but hard-core jails so they can count the number of lives they ruined. Do not understand why Congress does not legislate that civil penalties arising out of wrong doings do not qualify for tax deduction. Let the shareholders pay the price of keeping these incompetent crooks in place.
Of course when you listen to these bankers, they tell you that it is the poor people who simply failed to pay their mortgages that caused the financial collapse, but they do not say they were the ones who qualified these poor people who can ill afford a $300,000 on a salary of $ 35,000. Of course the mortgage companies and the bankers made their commissions and they were able to sell “financial instruments” that were nothing but crap, worthless crabs (not the creative financial instruments of Alan Greenspan), to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac executives who saddled the two companies with $187 billions “ mistakes”. Wouldn’t we all like to make that kind of mistakes and take home some $15 millions in annual salaries and bonuses?
Now, as if Wall Street did not do enough damage, it generously funded hedge funds and other equity funds extending tens of billions of dollars to the likes of American Homes 4 Rent, and Colony American both of which investing in and buying dirt cheap tens of thousands of homes and other properties renting them out. Homes denied to citizens and original buyers.
These large Wall Street landlords with their financial powers, will soon exercise powerful influence over tax assessments denying local communities the funds to run schools, police and fire services and with no allowance for repairs, hundreds of thousands of unites will become run down and cities like Las Vegas, Atlanta and Tampa will become a “Detroit”.
While we Americans are getting poor and poorer Wall Street is getting richer and richer. Imagine an average take home pay of $360,000 for a Wall Streeters when the average American family takes home is at $69,000, with the 1% of the richest people in America ($ 5 trillions) owning 20% of America’s wealth.
Don’t be fool with the glitter of Hollywood or the limousine drives artists and con-artists, rappers, show business people or the Wall Streeters, American cities are getting poor and poorer, cities like Gadsden- AL ($34,264), McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, TX ($33,761), Dalton, GA ($32,858), Brownsville-Harlingen-TX ($30,953). Source Huffington Post 10/25/2013.
Then we hear of grass root organizations like the Tea Party that hijacked America and Congress, knowing well that these grass root organizations are not so grass rooted but well funded by big bucks from very wealthy Americans who working with Congress exported America’s manufacturing over seas leaving tens of millions of Americans unemployed or living on minimum wage, working for the likes of McDonald, Sam’s Club or Wal-Mart. No so sure how America can ever recover and regain its balanced when some 40 million Americans are below poverty lines with millions living on $10 an hour. The American dreams are a permanent nightmare for millions.
Shame on all members of Congress who voted for the shut down, denying hundreds of thousands of employees of income while making sure they got paid. Of course having voted for two wars that costs citizens and tax payers some $4 Trillions, and have voted for surveillance programs costing hundreds of billions, now these bunch of scruples no good members of Congress want to limit the ceiling on national debt and want to cut down so called “entitlement programs”. The bastards forget that these “entitlement” programs like Social Security are paid for by us, tax payers in advance, allowing our employers to deduct from our salaries to hand over to the government. They want to cut down on Medicaid and deny affordable care, when the likes of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) have his own health insurance paid by non other than Goldman Sachs. Of course with that kind of health insurance coverage, who gives a damn about 65 years old retiree in Brownsville, Texas.
I have no doubts that once again, we repeat the same mistakes we always make every two years, and return 90% of the same ugly faces and corrupt soul to Congress. Shame on all of us for being such stupid fools for so long.
