At Least 300 Takfiris Killed in Lattakia

 

TEHRAN (FNA)- At least 300 Takfiri militants were killed in Syrian military operations in the coastal province of Lattakia on Saturday.

The army targeted terrorists’ positions in Salma and the mountains surrounding it in the Northern countryside of Lattakia, a military source said, adding at least 300 terrorists were killed in the operations.

On Friday, the Syrian army launched a full-scale offensive in Lattakia province, killing at least 34 terrorists, including foreign mercenaries, in the early stage of the operations, a Syrian army spokesman said.

“As a result of the offensive, we have established control over the towns of Job al-Ahmar, Rabia, and Salma. A total of 34 terrorists, most of them foreign nationals including Chechens, Turks, and Tunisians, have been eliminated,” Brigade General Ali Maihoub said.

“In the morning of October 15, parts of our armed forces began a military operation in the North of the Homs province… The names of field commanders killed here are known: Omar Al Khadr, Khalid Abu Anas and Abu Bakr al-Shishani,” he went on to say. The latter two are of Chechen origin.

“Our forces […] have managed to seize partial control of the villages of Ter-Maalya, Jawalik, Sunaysil, and also encircled the village of Dar al-Kabira,” Maihoub added.

According to the Syrian army spokesamn, airstrikes killed and injured dozens of ISIL militants East of the Deir Ezzur Airport.

“In the Eastern Raqqa province about 30 ISIL militants have been killed”, Ali Maihoub said.

Earlier on Friday, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov, head of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian General Staff, told journalists during a briefing that the large-scale Syrian offensive was enabled by the Russian air operation.

Russia started precision airstrikes against ISIL targets in Syria on September 30, following a request from Syria’s internationally recognized government. The Russian airstrikes hit targets that are chosen based on intelligence collected by Russia, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

 18 ISIL Terrorists, Including Senior Commander, Killed in Syria

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army clashed with ISIL terrorists in the vicinity of Deir Ezzur Airport, and killed 18 Takfiri militants, including a senior commander.

The army troops positioned at Deir Ezzor Airport killed 18 ISIL terrorists, including senior ISIL commander Abu Yusuf al-Iraqi, over the past 24 hours, reports said Saturday.

Ahmed Abboush and Siraj Eddin Jasem al-Eiada were also identified among the dead terrorists.

A vehicle and varied ammunition belonging to the ISIL terrorists were also destroyed in the vicinity of the airport.

The army units defending Deir Ezzur military airport engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists, killing and injuring about 100 Takfiri militants during the past 24 hours, field source said Wednesday.

A machine gun equipped vehicle was also destroyed in the operation.

Russian Fighter Jets Target Militant Centers near Al-Zerbeh in Syria’s Aleppo
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian fighter jets hit militants’ positions hard near al-Zerbeh village in the Southwestern parts of the Northern city of Aleppo, local officials announced on Saturday.

The sources said that al-Zerbeh village near the Aleppo-Hama highway was identified as one of the main gathering centers of the militants by the Russian reconnaissance planes and later it was bombed by the Russian fighter jets.

Also on Saturday, the Syrian Army troops seized back al-Nasiriya area form the militant groups in Aleppo, informed sources said, adding the army is advancing towards Barayjeh with the Russian jets’ backup.

The sources said that the Syrian army, with the Russian fighter jets’ backup, is advancing step by step to break the over-two-year siege of Kuweires airbase in Aleppo province.

The sources added that recapture of al-Nasiriya area will lay the way for liberation of remaining areas around Kuweires.

The militant groups left scores of the members killed or wounded and pushed back their forces after al-Nasiriya failure.

Syrian Troops Gain Ground in Damascus Countryside
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army troops regained control over several strategic areas in Damascus countryside, reports said Saturday.

The Syrian forces retook all the hills oversee Douma and Harasta from the foreign-backed Takfiri militants.

The army also won back 25 buildings in Harasta, and a number of blocks in Jobar.

On Friday, the Syrian Army announced that its troops have stormed the gathering centers of the terrorist groups in the strategic province of Damascus and killed dozens of militants, including Jordanian nationals.

The army said that its forces destroyed a munitions depot of the terrorists groups in Erbin and Zamalka, which resulted in the killing of two Jordanian terrorists Ayoub al-darawsheh and Mosaed Ali al-Tawalaa.

The army further added that Jeish al-Islam terrorist groups left scores of members, including Hashem al-Khateeb and Hussein Abdullatif, killed in the army’s attacks in Erbin and Zamalka, and retreat its forces from the battlefront.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army troops pushed back militants from Rima water facility near the Harasta town.

The sources said, following the new offensive strategy of the Syrian army to push back the militant groups from the Damascus province with the assistance of both Syrian and Russian fighter jets, the Syrian army stormed the terrorists, who were surprised by the early morning airstrikes, near Harasta and retook full control over the Rima water treatment plant.

The sources said that the militant groups sustained heavy casualties in the today clashes with the army.

Over 50 ISIL Militants Killed in Syrian Airstrikes in Homs Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian fighter jets’ air raid on militant positions in Central Syria left at least 50 ISIL terrorists dead and scores more injured, the Syrian army announced on Saturday.

The army said that the ISIL hideouts and gathering centers in al-Qaryatain, al-Tafha and the surroundings of Shaer field in the Eastern countryside of Homs province were massively bombed by the Syrian warplanes, which resulted in the killing of at least 50 ISIL members.

On Friday, the Syrian Army identified an important supply convoy of the militant groups in the Northern parts of the Central Homs province and destroyed it in an attack.

The sources said that a long convoy of the militants’ vehicles, loaded with weapons and ammunition, were targeted and destroyed in the Syrian army troops’ offensive in Dar al-Kabira.

The sources further added that tens of terrorists were also killed in the Syrian soldiers’ attack.

Syrian Army Marching on Terrorist-Held Regions in Homs Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army announced on Saturday that its forces have recaptured more territories from the militant groups in the Central province of Homs, leaving tens of the terrorists dead or injured.

Army sources said that the Northwestern parts of Homs city were the scenes of heavy clashes between the Syrian army troops and the terrorist groups, who were pushed back from

three blocks of buildings at the train station in Jawalak area and three more blocks near Snaisel village.

The sources added that the abovementioned areas are now under full control of the Syrian army, and the country’s soldiers are fortifying their positions in the newly-recaptured areas.

Al-Manishiya in Dara’a Recaptured in Syrian Ground, Russian Air Forces’ Joint Operation
TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian Army troops on Saturday regained al-Manishiya after Russian fighter jets pounded militants’ centers in Dara’a countryside, local officials announce.

The sources said that in the early hours of Saturday, the Russian warplanes bombed the strongholds of the terrorists groups in the nearby areas of al-Manishiya, later, the Syrian soldiers took the advantages of the Russian aerial backup stormed the militant positions and retook full control over the area after leaving behind the terrorists’ defense lines.

The sources further added that the militants sustained heavy losses in the battlefield.

On Friday, the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front sustained heavy losses in the Syrian Armed Forces’ operations in various parts of Dara’a province.

The sources said that Basel Khairo al-Jawaberah, Kaser Median al-jinadi, Jarrah Naser abu Halaweh and Hamzeh Ghassan al-Hariri were among the Nusra Front’s killed members in the Syrian soldiers’ attacks.

The sources further added that the militants’ military equipment, vehicles, and munitions depot were also destroyed in the Syrian forces’ raids.

On Wednesday, the Syrian armed forces continued their mop-up operations against the ISIL Takfiri militants in Aleppo province, leaving scores of them dead.

The army killed and injured a large group of ISIL terrorists in the vicinity of the Air force academy in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo.

A military source said scores of terrorists were killed in Syrian military operations in the neighborhoods of Al-Amerya , Bani Zaid, al-Rashedin and Nan’ana square in Aleppo city. Militants’ ammunition and weapons were also destroyed in the operations.

The army also killed a group of terrorists, and destroyed their vehicles in Kafar Da’el, Zerbe, Mansoura, Koweires and Kafar Hamra in Aleppo countryside.

Meanwhile, the Syrian airstrikes hit ISIL positions in Jebb al-Safa, Hamima, Qasir al-Ward, al-Nasriya, Wadi’a, Sousn hills, Dakouna, Sabe’een, al-Ne’am, Istabl and Faouri, and killed and injured a large group of the Takfiri militants.
