“Does anyone care? I’m just a little boy with a broken arm. Am I a terrorist?”

…by Jonas E. Alexis

The Daily Mail has recently released a report which basically gives a grim picture of what is actually going on in the West Bank. It is about “a boy with a broken arm being held at gunpoint by an Israeli soldier after a 13-year-old girl seen biting his attacker…”[1] Let us watch the clip:

Some mush-heads have questions the authenticity of the video. But Russia Today seemed to have confirmed its accuracy by publishing it. The New York Times has recently confirmed its authenticity as well.

But the deeper question is this: Is the incident really a surprise? Didn’t we see literal torture and sodomy at Abu Ghraib? Haven’t the Israelis been doing this for decades? Lest we be accused of something weird, let us bring in Israeli historian Benny Morris. He said unequivocally:

“A Jewish state would not have come into being without the uprooting of 700,000 Palestinians. Therefore it was necessary to uproot them. There was no choice but to expel that population. It was necessary to cleanse the hinterland and cleanse the border areas and cleanse the main roads. It was necessary to cleanse the villages from which our convoys and our settlements were fired on.”[2]

Morris’ The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem “chronicled the Zionist murders, terrorism, and ethnic cleansing that drove 600,000-750,000 Palestinians from their homes in 1948, thus refuting the myth that they fled under the orders of Arab leaders.”[3]

In the second edition of the book, Morris documents “massacres, and a previously unsuspected number of rapes and murders of Palestinian women.”[4] Morris himself said:

“The revised book is a double-edged sword. It is based on many documents that were not available to me when I wrote the original book, most of them from the Israel Defense Forces Archives. What the new material shows is that there were far more Israeli acts of massacre than I had previously thought.

“To my surprise, there were also many cases of rape. In the months of April-May 1948, units of the Haganah [the pre-state defense force that was the precursor of the IDF] were given operational orders that stated explicitly that they were to uproot the villagers, expel them and destroy the villages themselves.”[5]

Israeli historian Ilan Pappe would have called this ethnic cleansing.[6] And this ethnic cleansing is still going on.[7]

"Yes, we did commit terrorism, torture, and even rape in 1948."
“Yes, we did commit terrorism, torture, and even rape in 1948.”

In short, 1948 was cut-throat competition. In Darwinian terminology, it was survival of the fittest. But how does Morris support this on a moral term? Well, this is Morris at his best:

“There is no justification for acts of rape. There is no justification for acts of massacre. Those are war crimes. But in certain conditions, expulsion is not a war crime. I don’t think that the expulsions of 1948 were war crimes. You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs. You have to dirty your hands.”[8]

Ari Shavit, the interviewer, was quite puzzled: “You do not condemn them morally?” Morris:

“No. There are circumstances in history that justify ethnic cleansing. I know that this term is completely negative in the discourse of the 21st century, but when the choice is between ethnic cleansing and genocide – the annihilation of your people – I prefer ethnic cleansing.”[9]

So, according to this logic, Europe was right in expelling the Jews. If the Dreadful Few get involved in pornography, usury, exploiting the common man, assaulting the moral and political order, then Morris provides the mechanism by which they can be they can be expelled.

Hmmm…Interesting. I think it is time for David Irving to take Morris to dinner. Or maybe be it is time for Morris to pick up copies of books such as Hitler, Germans, and the Jewish Questions;[10] Esau’s Tears,[11] and Jews and Revolution in Nineteenth-Century Russia.[12] These scholarly studies will certainly give him a different perspective about World War II and Nazi Germany.
