TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian air defense command said that the Russian Air Force struck the ISIL-held Tabaqa airbase in Raqqa governorate’s western territories, destroying the military barracks after two airstrikes above this large military base.

The source told Massdar that the ISIL terrorists sustained considerable damage as a result of the Russian airstrikes on the Tabaqa airbase.

In addition to their airstrikes inside Tabaqa, the Russian Air Force struck the ISIL positions at the Al-‘Ajrawi Farms; this farm area is located outside of the Tabaqa airbase and used by the terrorist group as a weapons supply depot.

To the east of the Raqqa governorate, the Russian fighter jets continued their airstrikes above the Hasaka governorate, attacking the terrorist group at the cities of Al-Shadadi and Al-Houl, while the Syrian Air Force struck an ISIL convoy along the Deir Ezzur-Hasaka Highway.

TEHRAN (FNA)- ISIL positions in Eastern Aleppo countryside came under blitzkrieg by the Syria air force, reports said on Thursday, adding that the bombings were staged in 30 sorties of flights over the militant-held regions near Kuweires Military Airport.

Reports from Aleppo said the Syrian fighter jets conducted over 30 airstrikes on ISIL positions in Deir Hafer Plains.

Sources said similar intense bombings of ISIL-held areas in Eastern Aleppo have been underway for the last several days, but the Thursday air offensives “proved extremely effective for the Syrian Army as they helped the ground troops advance towards the besieged Kuweires Military Airport”.

Local sources told FNA that large groups of terrorists were killed on Thursday and a major part of the military hardware, including vehicles and artilleries, that was used by the terrorist group to storm the Kuweires Military Airport was destroyed in the large-scale air offensives.

On Wednesday, Syrian warplanes struck multiple ISIL positions with precision targeting ammunition in a region near Al-Judaydeh village and the Kuweires Military Barracks to the West of the airport.

The Syrian Army started massive operations in mid-September to push back the ISIL Takfiri terrorists from the nearby areas of Kuweires airbase in the Southern territories of Aleppo province.

The Syrian army, in cooperation with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Al-Ba’ath Battalion, launched the offensive from Southeast Aleppo and in two directions in a move to lift the ISIL two-year-long siege on the Kuweires airbase.

The army targeted the terrorist group in the Jabboul Lakefront and the town of ‘Ayn Sabil to spread out the ISIL fighters in the Deir Hafer Plain.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian air force launched airstrikes on the ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ positions in the province of Homs on Friday.

The Russian warplanes destroyed the ISIL military hardware, arms and fuel depots in the town of Quaryatayn in Homs province in precision airstrikes.

Quaryatayn is located 85 kilometers from the city of Homs and 160 kilometers from Palmyra.

Quaryatayn is of strategic importance because it links Palmyra and the Eastern parts of Qalamoun in the Damascus countryside.

The Russian Federation Council on Wednesday empowered President Vladimir Putin to use the Russian military outside the national territory. As the chief of the presidential staff Sergey Ivanov explained, the air operation was to be launched against the ISIL in Syria at the request of Syria’s president Bashar Assad.

Kremlin Chief of Staff Sergey Ivanov

“The Federation Council unanimously supported the president’s request – 162 votes in favor (of granting permission),” Ivanov said.

“The operation’s military goal is exclusively air support of the Syrian armed forces in their fight against the ISIL,” he said.

This operation by the Russian Air Force is limited in time and the types of the used weapons are not disclosed, Ivanov added.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Air Force destroyed the gathering centers and hideouts of the Takfiri terrorists in the countryside of Idlib and Hama.
The Syrian warplanes hit the concentration centers of the terrorists in Mhambel, al-Latamneh, al-Mansoura, and Skik in Idlib and Hama.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more injured in fierce clashes with the Takfiri terrorists.

Also in the past 24 hours, the ISIL positions in Eastern Aleppo countryside came under blitzkrieg by the Syria air force.

The bombings were staged in 30 sorties of flights over the militant-held regions near Kuweires Military Airport.

Elsewhere, the Syrian army troops killed and injured scores of the foreign-backed Takfiri militants in the Southern Province of Daraa.

The army targeted concentration centers of terrorists in Samlin village and the cities of Inkhel and Jassem in the Northwestern countryside of Daraa, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and equipment.

The army also targeted positions of terrorists from the so-called “Saif al-Sham Brigades” in Atman town, 4km North of Daraa city, leaving a group of them dead.

Meanwhile, the terrorist groups acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a number of their members, including the leader of the so-called “Osama Bin Zaid Brigade”, Rateb Anwar al-Hamid.

Also, some 70 wanted Takfiri militants surrendered to the Syrian authorities on Thursday to be pardoned as the army continues to advance against the terrorists.

They are from Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Daraa and Idlib.

On Sept 26, 36 wanted militants also surrendered to the competent authorities in Hama.

Hundreds of gunmen have been laying down their weapons and turning themselves into authorities in areas across the country.

This number seems to be on the rise as the army has been making steady gains on the battlefield against the terrorist groups, recapturing an increasing number of regions, including strategic sites, which helped cut off many of the militants’ supply routes and forced them to surrender or run away.

Elsewhere, the Syrian army backed by the popular defense groups destroyed hideouts and vehicles of the al-Nusra Front and other Takfiri terrorist groups in the Northern countryside of Quneitra.

The army targeted the Takfiris’ positions in military operations on Wednesday night and Thursday.

A group of terrorists were killed and injured in the military operations against the positions of al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups in the villages of Jibbata al-Khashab and Tranjeh. One of the militants’ ammunition depots was also destroyed.

Meanwhile, the army destroyed three heavy machinegun-equipped vehicles belonging to al-Nusra terrorists and killed all terrorists onboard in a military operation to the East of Tranjeh village.

The terrorist groups acknowledged on their social media pages that a number of their members were killed, including terrorist Shadi Yousef Sharaf.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The radical group of ISIL has arrested some eight members of its own trying to flee to Turkey, activists in the Eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzur reported.

“The militants were arrested in the Northern countryside of Deir Ezzur before escaping the province,” media activist Mohammad al-Shami told ARA News.

“After interrogations, the ISIL discovered the suspects’ plan to leave the group and cross into Turkey,” al-Shami quoted an ISIL official as saying.

Five of the arrested militants were reportedly Moroccans and the three others were Tunisians who had joined the ranks of ISIL nearly one year ago.

The source reported a state of alert among the ISIL militants in Deir Ezzur following the incident.

“The ISIL has closed all exists of Deir Ezzur and imposed a curfew on the cities and towns of the province after receiving information about a similar attempt by another group of its militants,” al-Shami went on to say.

The ISIL-linked Court is expected to issue a decision regarding the arrestees next week, as the interrogations continue on the case.

Dozens of the ISIL members had deserted the group and crossed into Turkey in the past few months. Most of them were foreign nationals who had lately recognized the brutality of the alleged caliphate towards Muslim citizens in Syria and Iraq.
