Jim W. Dean, VT managing editorsaid in an interview with Press TV on Saturday that the forces “are going to end up an army on the ground big enough to probably hold the whole of northern Syria.”

Washington and its allies will deploy thousands of troops there in a confusing situation pretending to be the FSA members, the analyst stated.

The political commenter criticized the “bizarre” joint US-Turkish plan for training about 5,000 terrorists under the FSA banner, saying its “strategic impact” at this stage would be “ridiculous.”

The political analyst commented on the moral character of FSA members and said they have been subservient to ISIL and other militants groups operating across Syria.

The analyst concluded that most of the FSA members have engaged in “kidnapping, robbing and looting” in order to make money.

The United States began targeting positions held by the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Iraq in August. Washington also launched a military campaign with its Arab allies against ISIL in Syria on September 22.

Washington says it is striking ISIL positions in both Iraq and Syria, but there is skepticism on both sides of the border about the real objective of the airstrikes.

The US and its regional allies have been the leading supporters of the ISIL and other affiliated militant groups operating against the government of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
