Syrian FM – Walid Muallem

[ Editor’s Note: FM Walid Muallem is playing a coy game here. By making an open offer to work with anyone in the fight against terrorism, the only exclusion being those countries in violation of aiding and abetting terrorism, that eliminates all the current coalition members.

Syria is not down on its knees begging. If the current coalition members and the Gulf States refuse, then the remaining players will be Russia, Iran and China.

So this all looks to me like a set up by Muallem. The last line about Russia being the only one helping in full compliance with international law was a big clue.

He said last week that “when the time came”, Syria would request Russian combat assistance, if it were needed. He is framing future Moscow combat assistance as the only legal option that Syria has.

That could hardly be spun as an aggravation of the current situation that has been created by those supporting the Takfiris; and we all know who they are, and they know that we know… Jim W. Dean ]

Syria is prepared to cooperate with any country that will be fighting against terrorism not just verbally, but in reality, Syria’s Foreign Minister Walid Muallem, told Russia Today Arabic television news channel.

“We are prepared to coordinate action with any state that is sincere in its wish to fight with terrorism,” he said. To prove the sincerity of intentions these countries should refrain from providing financial and military support for terrorists.”

Muallem said the international community had not gone any further than declarations of intent.

“Have the neighboring countries complied with the UN Security Council’s resolution on struggle against terrorism? Not a single one has done that,” he recalled.

In his opinion, the lack of coordination among the parties interested in the victory over terrorism has brought about a situation where US air strikes against militants’ positions have proved ineffective.

“The United States keeps dealing air strikes but it never reports the results,” he said.

Muallem believes that the effectiveness of US operations will grow, if it coordinates them with those of the Syrian army – the sole force in the country that is capable of fighting the war with the terrorists on the ground.

He said Syria continued to regard Russia as a “strategic ally honest in its actions…Moscow acts in strict compliance with international law, respect for my country’s sovereignty and in coordination with Syria,” Muallem said.

His dad’s mission before he passed on was to ensure all veterans, spouses, children, and widows all received the benefits, medical care and attention, and proper facilities from the VA. Because of the promise made to his dad to carry on the mission, in May 2006 Davis began as a one-man show sending out 535 letters every single week to all members of Congress requesting and politely demanding the fulfill their promises made over the past decades to care for life those who wore the uniform and their families. Veterans-For-Change was born in August 2006 with a very small membership of 25 people composed of veterans, spouses, widows, family members, and friends and to date continues to grow.
