It is impossible not to read some source, informed or otherwise, touting the “fact” that the price of gold and silver will be, in the coming months, or safer, in the next year or two, etc. Yet, the market does not echo those almost universally held sentiments.

In the absence of the gold standard there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value without gold.

The stock market has known all along that the fiscal cliff issue was going to be pushed out to the last minute. This is just how Washington works. Nothing is ever settled until everybody gets all of the pork needed to buy their vote.

Not sure where to start with this. "Blabbing" by government intel operatives has become such a huge habit, perhaps I am seen as amusing, that operational common sense goes out the window.

Stay open minded and think dynamically going forward which means not accepting the status quo, not accepting mass hysteria, not following old models and old economic rules, and using “uncommon wisdom”.
