NYT: Veterans Sound Alarm Over Burn-Pit Exposure

Bombing Iran, Taking the World Down with Them
The questions facing the world are: Is President Obama psychopathic as Bush and company were; Has the pathology of power sufficiently rattled a seemingly rational man; and Will President Obama follow Israel down the path of depravity and severe economic recession that would result from a strike against Iran? What is not under question is the fact that he has a choice to make

No guns? They must be Terrorists, look at their eyes
But it seemed to matter to the Israelis, because until this week they insisted their own inquiry was sufficient, and that was already under way. One fact emerging from this process was that the victims, according to “Sgt S” who shot six of them, “were without a doubt terrorists”. And he produced evidence to back this up, which was: “I could see the murderous rage in their eyes”.

Five-Minute Delay Scuttles Chance at $40 Billion Air Force Deal
Somehow, against all odds, the already-surreal competition to build America’s next fleet of tanker planes just got sillier and more venal. A tiny, troubled aerospace firm and its Ukrainian partner have been disqualified from the bidding because they handed in their proposal five minutes too late. The companies, for their part, insist that their messenger had a few minutes to spare

Beware Julian Assange and Wikileaks, Darlings of Mainstream Media
I couldn't bring myself to join in the excitement around the Wikileaks documents. My apathy turned more towards cynicism when I got wind of Assange's personal story. "On the run" moving location every two days to stay one step ahead of the hounds of hell that were assumed to be on his heels. Forced to mail his cell phone to another country, he finally makes it to a safe haven, in London of all places, and into a 'bunker' in the UK Guardian building where his story will be transformed into revolutionary news-bites by editors from the New York Times. Very intriguing. Heck, it could be made into a movie starring Matt Damon as 'Jason Bourne'. In fact, I think that's where this story really belongs. After all, in such movies, the hero can easily outwit the powers that be who want him dead. In real life however, if the organistations that supposedly have most to lose from the leaking of the Wikileaks documents wanted the anemic Assange dead, he would have expired, from natural causes of course, long ago.

The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
With respect to the positionI take about the crimes of George Bush, I want to state at the outset that my motivation is not political. Although I've been a longtime Democrat (primarily because, unless there is some very compelling reason to be otherwise, I am always for "the little guy"), my political orientation is not rigid. For instance, I supported John McCain's run for the presidency in 2000.
John McCain – A Closer Look at Evil (Part 8)
The facts suggest that John McCain should not be in a federal campaign. He should be in a federal prison. Who has an even lower opinion of McCain than his fellow Senators? Answer: our senior military leaders.
