Mr. President: I Hate to Say I Told You So, but I Told You...

9
This is a reprise of an article that I wrote in August of last year. I'm revisiting it in hope that the "experts" in Washington, D.C. will start to see the light. They are not the political experts in this country - we are. While the so-called political experts are dealing in speculation about what we think, the people don't have to speculate - we KNOW what we think, and the Democratic base has been screaming what we think at the administration for the past two years. But remaining consistent to your beltway arrogance you decided that you knew more about what was on our minds than we did, and this past Tuesday you paid a severe price for that arrogance.

Obama’s Fall

9
By Dr Muzaffar Iqbal: The US foreign policy needs a U-turn; domestically, a growing class of poor and disempowered have nothing bright on the horizon and this leads to deep fractures. But to open their eyes, the US politicians from both side of the divide need something much greater than a political victory or defeat and it is hard to see how this will come about in the near future.

In Book, Bush Defends Use of Waterboarding

43
When then-President George W. Bush was asked to approve a tough interrogation technique known as waterboarding on September 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, he wasted little time in deciding. "Damn right," he said. Bush's approval of waterboarding, a form of simulated drowning condemned by human rights activists as torture, to try to wrench information from captured al Qaeda operatives was among the most controversial decisions he made during eight years in the White House.

MURDOCH DRUMS UP “WAR” WHERE PROPAGANDA COLLIDES WITH TRUTH

6
In his recent pep-talk to the Anti-Defamation League, media magnate Rupert Murdoch complains about “an ongoing war against the Jews”. He seems desperate to divert attention from the mounting resentment around the world towards Israel. But his threadbare argument collapses straightaway because no distinction is made between criminal Israelis and Jews generally. The one remains carefully hidden behind the other.

MURDOCH: A WAR MONGER AND A FEAR MONGER

5
Despite your claims and twisting of the truth, Mr. Murdoch, the threats faced today are not “part of an ongoing war against the Jews.” The threat is the fear mongering which supports your war mongering
