Those Were The Days

4
For us Vietnam Veteran baby-boomers, remember when you could just look at a new car from the automobile capitol of the world in the 60's and 70's, Detroit, Michigan and tell what year it was by the styling? Do you remember the old black and white television commercials about the upcoming new year models and then seeing them in all their vivid colors on the street or in a showroom for the first time? WOW, the car seemed to have come to life seeing it up close and in color! How many of us dreamed and wished about getting our own car when we were old enough and could afford it?

Why Do Elections Have Consequences Only When the GOP Wins?

11
Senators are only elected by their own states and Representatives are only elected by their districts but that didn’t seem to matter as the GOP elected decided they knew what the American people wanted no matter how they voted. Seems a bit odd that this happened and now, it is back to “what the American people wanted” because the local elections put them into seats they are about to take.

GORDON DUFF: SELLING WIKILEAKS, SELLING HATE FOR AMERICA

202
Wikileaks has divided the world into two camps, those who love Wikileaks as a slap in the face for the United States and those who recognize the stench of Wikileaks for what it is, simple Israeli propaganda. Millions around the world look at Wikleaks as poor, harried Julian Assange and his personal struggle against the evil empire of Bush/Obama America. Hate, envy, oh, there is lots of envy here, America stimulates that with its highways filled with gas guzzling cars, eating half the world's meat, all the best music, television and a military that scares the begeezus out of everyone. What's not to hate?

VETERAN NEEDS FOCUS NEEDS TO BE IN CIVILIAN COMMUNITY

2
A new organization provides service of true value to veterans. Many companies are finally seeing the many needs of veterans and are stepping up to the plate to help veterans. So much is needed in the area of helping veterans this is a step forward. Veterans needs are so often neglected because they just are not seen or visualized. We need Oprah and all those Doctor shows on main stream media to truly focus on VETERANS and the many needs that are not answered for those that have given their lives to this country.

1971: Sarmila Bose Salutes the Paksitan Army

3
There is much for Pakistan to come to terms with what happened in 1971. But the answers don’t lie in unthinking vilification of the fighting men who performed so well in the war against such heavy odds in defence of the national policy. Rather, in failing to honour them, the nation dishonours itself.

On behalf of Zionism’s colonial project in Palestine writer Isi Leibler was verbally crucifying one of Britain’s most influential Jewish leaders for daring to go public with his criticism of Netanyahu and saying, among other things, that Israel’s policies and actions were harming the best interests of British Jews, and by implication non-Israeli Jews everywhere.

Who is Playing with Balochistan?

6
By Hamid Waheed: What wonders me is why the army is sleeping and not projecting its sincere efforts for common Balochi. Are they too simplistic or they have no knowledge of perception management. The efforts of new political setup are all excellent measures but hopefully will take into consideration and reinforce the common Baloch agenda already in ruin for the last 60 years and will not only find solutions to support feudal culture.

GORDON DUFF: UNCONSTITUTIONAL, TIME TO END THE SCANNER SCAM

50
Let's begin with one fact. We are using expensive, dangerous and illegal scanners in our airports for one reason. Now get this straight; A single terrorist carrying a bomb was escorted onto a plane for Detroit, no search, no passport, not even a ticket, placed on a plane by an airport security officer who is a former IDF "commando."

PTSD Troops Get “Trauma Avoidance” Instead of Care

7
When we read about all the advances being made, the programs the DOD has come up with to "help" the troops recover, there is always something that does not add up because at the same time we read about what they are doing, somewhere hidden from our eyes, problems lurk in the darkness like a bad horror movie.

GORDON DUFF: WIKILEAKS, A TOUCH OF ASSANGE AND THE STENCH OF AIPAC

138
Wikileaks is like a TV show that never gets off the ground. We started with a "shoot 'em up" in Iraq, the helicopter slaughter soon forgotten and move on to, well, what? We got a deluge of material from Afghanistan, carefully gleaned to point fingers at Pakistan. When it came down to backing any of it up, it went nowhere.
